It’s almost as if Dolan supporters are like Trump supporters. They will support their Dear Leader through literally anything. Of course, unsurprisingly, our owner is a big Trump supporter and also shares his narcissistic personality.

You must hate the Rangers then. Hes a terrible owner of them.

You rehash the same thing over and over.

If you were a Rangers fan you’d know why the team is successful and it definitely has to do with the fact of how little Dolan is involved.

Keep kissing Dolan’s ass. Maybe he’ll give you free tickets one day So you can see us lose by 35 to the Hornets while enjoying some nachos.

Dude, im not a Dolan fan. He has to hire better front office people. Simple.

I almost wish Dolan banned Spike. If Spike Lee led a boycott of the Knicks, I think it would work to some extent.

We gotta get people to stop buying tickets so Dolan sells!

Spike has a sense of entitlement because it's been voluntarily given to him by MSG/Knicks/NBA/Players for DECADES now - everyone is in on it, and everyone loves it. Dolan seeking to check him out of nowhere is petty BS - there's no way this was confusion because everyone knows who Spike is, so I don't blame Spike for getting mad and blowing it up following what now appears to be a PR statement intended to shut him up.

I'm going to embarrass you, then also give your response/side of the story in a PR statement? Nah. Dolan is free to do what he wants obviously, but I'm totally on Spike's side on this one.

In the end the actual incident isn't the problem - Spike could absolutely be in the wrong - it's the Dolan method of whitewashing/silencing everything that he doesn't like. This isn't normal.

Spike's over-reaction and self-absorption is much worse. So if he did have to walk around the building one damn time in his life until it got straightened out with a phone call the next day, big effing deal

This is more about Spike's sense of privilege than Dolan's policies or hiring misguided employees

Further, if Spike was truly a super fan he wouldn't be making Leon Rose's first days on the job about Spike Lee. Spike is a diva and a selfish twat

Nobody cares that Spike is a ‘diva’. The guy has been coming to games for 30 years. Trying to treat him like a stranger and telling to ‘leave and come back’ is ridiculous. If it happened to me - and I’m not on Spike Lee’s level - I would be pretty mad at the inconvenience. You easily settle this by saying - “hey Spike, starting next game you have to use another entrance. You can enter now but next game we’re changing the policy.” Very simple. Instead you’re trying to embarrass and inconvenience someone who has been paying your ridiculous ticket prices for 30 years for no reason.

Leon Rose - who cares? Why are we talking about him? Who is Leon Rose? Has he accomplished anything as an executive of a franchise? Right now he’s Steve Mills until proven otherwise. We didn’t ‘ruin’ Leon Rose. We’re still 19-42. We beat a good team at home in a game. That’s about it. Nothing has changed with this franchise. The same incompetence still exists.

I agree a loyal fan like Spike should be treated well, but turning this one minor incident into a let's throw the kitchen sink at Dolan opportunity is lame. Misunderstandings happen. It sounds stupid and didn't need to happen, but Spike sounds like a twat too so nobody comes out of this looking good.

Exactly, this is a waste of breath and energy. I'm done with this non-story that people want to turn into front page news

Hahahaha. In before our owner responds through a statement to a fan complaint. Only an inept owner will do that. And our owner is inept. Just wait and see.

Clearly because the Knicks are a lotto team....

basically.

"Hey sorry this entrance is now designated for personnel only"

"Ok my bad, what entrance can I use"

"this entrance blah blah blah"

"ok thanks"

that is it that is all...wtf you creating a scene for over something so small.

Nah Spike is saying they told him he needed to leave the stadium from the employee entrance and go around to the front entrance. That's why he spazzed, because he thought Dolan told them to do that to harass him. Why tell the man to leave once he's already inside? He said he was just there Wednesday no problems.

all reports had him talking to Dolan at halftime to clear the air. Why the need to keep the story going.

If the miscommunication happened...talk it out. Clear the air between two adults. Why go on ESPN after they supposedly hashed it out?

I’m not getting it. It’s almost like he wanted to escalate a small thing into a major issue. Spike, you don’t own that building and if security asks you to step out then step out see what’s up. Maybe there’s a new policy or maybe it’s a misunderstanding. But to go from zero to “it’s cause I’m black” or “you trying to Oakley me” is just plain weird. And then to run to First Take to complain about this with those clowns who eat up anything remotely anti Knicks is just a weak move.
