Lol - those statements by NYK are so bad. Who cares if he's being a brat? You don't let this **** get out of hand.
"We had a change of policy. We'll sort this out with Spike, a man who has represented the team with the utmost loyalty."
All that was needed.

You don't need to prove because there's nothing to prove.
You've been on the Dolan bandwagon since the inception - defending the likes of Isiah, Marbury and everyone in between. Nothing has changed.
We've gotten to the point that respected Knicks legends and long time Knicks fans are criticizing the owner and individuals like you are still milling around telling us how the big bad media are trying to ruin our beloved Knicks.
The man is almost 300 games under .500 as an NBA owner. Nothing else needs to be said. Nothing at all.
Whether you feel I'm on the "Dolan Bandwagon" or I see you as a "Hating Dolan out of jealousy", it doesn't matter. I'm saying Spike's actions were blown WAY out of proportion and he could be wrong. I can admit if Dolan is in the wrong when I see direct proof that he made that call and it was directed to Spike. But I WILL NEVER cheer for Spike if his goal is, like yours, to make a blind claim and never back down from it which you are absolutely willing to do. You feel no desire to be rational. You only want one head to roll for Spike manufacturing a crisis, unnecessarily wounding an already battered organization by publicly going on the largest outlet famous for pouring salt in our wounds. I'll watch but I won't join in.

Also your rant is pointless. You don’t see the bigger picture..again. The Knicks response to a fan like Spike - both in the original approach and their follow up - is that’s a joke. They don’t operate like a normal sports franchise. When is the last time a franchise had this many high profile incidents with fans? Tell me - I would really like to know how I’m once again wrong and that Dolan is right.

None of this matters. The Knicks response to this has been abysmal. They’re the only team that has incidents like this. The only team across all of sports. Look it up.
Don Lagreca should stick to licking Dolan’s boots every time that mental midget is invited to the Kay show to read prepared statements off his binder.
Right, but there is no response you'd find acceptable so there's also that. A non-response would have you claiming "See! Dolan's silence speaks volumes!" We get it.

Of course I don't see the bigger picture. Only you do. Like I said, big win, in front of the home crowd and new regime, against a playoff team that always has our number with our rookie leading the charge...you know, the small stuff. Spike's fake spear to Dolan means WAAAAAY MORE.
Also, "this many" high profile incidents? 2 and both were ridiculously brought on by self entitled idiots whether you approve or not. There are plenty of Knick alumni that have had zero incidents but Oakley, Spike and The Max A. Smith Show (for today anyway) are your hill to die on. Knock yourself out.

Building security have no authority to arrest, only the police do.
If security was being hostile toward Spike, that security officer should be fired.
However, if Spike was directed in a normal manner about the use of entrance, and Spike disagreed, did security inform one of the building workers to not allow him in that entrance? If not, that security officer should still be fired. He/she wasn't doing their job.
Spike hasn't had any issues with anyone at MSG for all the years he's been in the front row ... we'll except for that time he taunted Reggie in the playoffs and Reggie went off and ... ugh,
Did Spike overreact? Maybe. You're analysis is pretty spot on.

He did wear an Oakley jersey the game after Charles got kicked out. So he was on Oakley's side.

The best part will be when Dolan expects a superstar, pressures his entire management team into getting one at any cost, and then blames/fires Leon Rose for the “failure.”
In fact, Jim Dolan has earned his reputation. His behavior and choices have diminished the Garden, it’s reputation and it’s appeal to top players.
When Leon Rose’s plan fails it will be in large because of the cumulative effect of small sh*t like this Spike nonsense.
Of course Dolan will just fire him and carry on business as usual, but c’est la vie. Welcome to town, Leon. Hope he’s paying you well.

Yea, it is just another example of Dolan being petty and his out of control ego. Even if Spike was wrong, you have to handle this better as an owner. Same with Oak. Maybe he was wrong, but as an owner you should hold yourself to a higher standard and handle things better.

Ya know what fixes this? Winning basketball. Knicks playing meaningful games in April. Leon Rose needs to address this...
And if the Knicks were giving tickets to Spike, guess that makes him sort of an employee..but I digress...

F*ck the good feels. Rose just took over the basketball operations, RJ took over a game, we got a small victory in the new era, AT HOME, versus a team that owns us... and this f*kker wants to cap for Oakley and shine for Max Kellerman. Hate Dolan if you want but that don't make Spike Smollett any less identifiable.
heck, the very fact that he went on 1st take,....ESPN and especially Max Kellerman HATE the Knicks. You just gave them more clicks for Knicks BS to talk about. Thanks Spike.

It’s almost like Dolan is writing or directing these pr statements. They always have to take a veiled shot at someone. Surprised this statement didn’t imply Spike has an alcohol problem and needs help.

Like the Knicks, you’re spinning and deflecting. Never said anything was a big deal. It’s a repeated offense by James Dolan. That’s all. There is a very long history of Dolan’s narcissism and pettiness that you refuse to acknowledge. It must feel good to live in a world where you will blindly support someone for anything. Trump also wants your vote in November.

Its not even about that though. He said he wasnt going to say anything and he was going to leave it alone until he saw the garden statement.
Msg tried to spin it and say him and dolan spoke and shook hands when that was absolutely false.
That's what set him off. Msg always tries to spin things. They did it with kp and got away with it and they tried to do it to spike and he wasnt having it.
He said he was going to "leave it alone"
You mean after he tweeted about the incident to a zillion people?
Kind of not being silent.
MSG feels compelled to state "their side"
Obviously, Dolan is a jackass
Obviously, MSG could have said "Let Spike through this time, but next time no"
Obviously, employees at MSG live in fear of Dolan etc, so super reluctant to deviate one iota from "rules"
