Older people and people with compronised immune systems are the ones at a high risk. Didn't hear if they said kids were vulnerable. Washing hands frequently. Don't touch eyes nose mouth.

They made it seem like it was no big deal. Majority of people will just ride it out but...20% is pretty high for serious risk.

The sky is falling!

I heard that kids were not as vulnerable.

Why? Is the coronavirus magically going to stop the faucets from flowing? Are contagious people sneezing and coughing into our reservoirs? This is NYC, not some **** town where they dig water out of the ground...we have plenty of clean, drinkable water.

Yeah, going outside for groceries and supplies, I get, but I don't understand how this is going to affect our water supply.

Unless you're just a fool and only drink bottled water, that's different...stock up, I guess.

If the Knicks were in game 7 of the Finals against the Seattle Supersonics and you had a ticket, would you go? :D (Understand what's on the line here  )

Get an orange and blue contamination/moon man suit with the knicks logo and #9 on the back and good to go.

I have never had such a stocked pantry in my life

I'm hanging out at home and doing renovations the next few weeks and will see how this plays out

In the prepper bunker corner of my house, all the sandbags are made from dried dog food. After the well stocked pantry runs out, we should be able to survive the collapse of civilization for a while by eating the bunker.

Obviously, security will take a hit, but we can backfill with yard dirt, as no one will care about lawns anymore.

I'm growing potatoes in my backyard myself. According to "The Martian", we can sustain ourselves on potatoes for a very long time and all it takes is some fecal matter to get it started. In theory, I guess we could introduce a variety of vegetables to the mix, but why mess with what works.

Hong Kong here, so far 102 confirmed infected, 1 gone.

The movement last year has discouraged the mainland Chinese tourist to come to HK (so as to punish our economy, lol), so it seems this time the spread is slower than that of SARS back in 2003.

Funny meme within the Great Firewall: now the big brother propaganda ie WHO, is having Ethiopian as president and Canadian as vice to keep praising PRC and blaming the other countries. This prove their rise of power.

And then some like to compare the death toll of American flu with that caused by Wuhan Corona Virus, as to save Beijing's face.

Conspiracy: Is this virus man-made (in a lab like the infamous Umbrella) or found naturally?

And Wingo, this thread is so 2019 that even the virus name itself is called COVID-19.

COVID-19=China Output Virus in December 2019

And saying Tokyo holding an Olympic this year, hey at least it is not Beijing nor Seoul. (Sorry Koreans) I feel confident that Japan and pull it out, and if necessary just postpone for several months for comfort.

Reminds me of the Oscar Award winning scene in Blazing Saddles when the men were sittin’ ‘round the ol’ campfire, eating beans and beans.

you can see how communicable this is. that person's wife, 2 kids, and the neighbor who drove him to the hospital all have been tested positive now.
