Robinson was never regarded as a plus defender in college. I think some folks are jumping to conclusions about his defense in the NBA. He's certainly not as good a defender as Bonga is. Bonga having a bad game and Robinson having a good game might happen occasionally but shouldn't be used as a basis for determining which is going to be better.

Wagner... only 7 baskets in his last 8 games (7 of 22, no made 3's). A ridiculous # of fouls. Has earned a rep as a flopper. Seems like he's free falling.

TBJ... still averaging 25 minutes a game this season, but his pt is diminishing to about 15 minutes for no apparent reason, and he seems to be an afterthought in the offense.

I didn't watch the game, but Rui and Bertans combined for 59 minutes. Ian didn't play, and Bryant, Wagner, and AP combined for 39 minutes, so Rui's been playing some significant time at center. As a team, we had 2 offensive rebounds and gave up 8. That's not 1 player's fault, but it underscores a persistent problem.

I agree with most of this.

Robinson looks like a capable defender, but Bonga has game changing defensive potential. He is still the better defender. Bonga's lack of offense is a problem though.

Wagner has been horrible ever since coming back from injury. I don't think the flopping has been too much of a problem. He drew a charge or two last night. The issue is that he just looks weaker than he did earlier in the year. He is getting pushed around on the defensive glass a lot more. I wonder if he lost lower body muscle while dealing with the ankle injury? He has also lost all confidence in his shot.

Yeah, Troy Brown has been a mess offensively lately. He is still our most effective transition player, but he's not doing anything in the half court. I think he's been pretty disappointing defensively this year as well - except on the defensive glass.

Rui had a pretty good game.

Wagner does appear weaker. Remember earlier this season against Minnesota, he stood up to every power move by Towns. Towns had to go outside to get anything on him. Now, he doesn't look like he could do that.

Wagner is shooting 9 percent from 3 in his last 12 since coming off his injury. He is reassembling his summer league play.
