Still trying to figure out how Lebron is even 2nd when his teammate has better stats and he didn't make the playoffs last year with the Lakers? It took getting Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard for that to happen.

As the leader of a top seeded team its almost unfair to deny him.
Giannis has mvp caliber stats but its a slippery slope to continue to deny lebron validation on his stature in the league.

When was the last time LeBron deserved the MVP but didnt win it? Its a very slope to not give the MVP to the player who is having by far the best season who is also having the greatest team success as well. Giving LeBron the MVP just because some talking heads still feel like he is the best player in the game is a horrible reason. Especially when there is nothing statistical to back that up.

Basically it boils down to the consensus best player in the league having a top seeded team.
Giannis is having a better statistical season but i guess narrative is taking a precedent when the seedings and perceptions back it up.

The media and some voters already gave the MVP to Lebron. Giannis probably will end up second..

Look, Giannis is great, but Lebron will actually drag AD's ass in to PO. That should be MVP and community service award worthy.

Having AD in the team should be a reason why Lebron don't deserve the MVP title.. Giannis is the only one who truly deserve it but media and some biased fans will say the opposite ofc..

Lebron didn’t even make the playoffs in the west yet while AD was getting games off the KD Warriors in them beyond the first round sweeping Portland.

Jordan never have a winning season in his career without Scottie Pippen,a player who almost make the finals without Jordan in 1994 and 2000.

Lakers had a winning record with LeBron last season. He also had a better record with them than the Pelicans did with AD last season. Anyone watching the games knows who the best player on the Lakers is. It's not AD.

Giannis worded that very carefully - smart dude with the “top 3 reference”, keeps all parties happy and is still paying proper respect.

Yes, his first three years in the league when he was a baby on a Bulls team full of crack heads and bad management playing in a conference with Bird and the Bad Boy Pistons. Do people actually think prime Jordan without Pippen wouldn't be able to lead a team to a winning season?

My comment was as stupid as the JordanBulls comment ... It was like saying because of a season of LeBron in the west that was ruined due to injury would never have made the playoffs in the west without Davis.
