Yeah surely someone around him could have said no, wtf are you doing, that thing would look horrendous on your neck.

If it was on his forearm it would have looked pretty good.

Neck tattoos in general look rubbish unless you already have a lot of ink elsewhere (like at least most of one arm covered or a sleeve).

Yeah his contract expired naturally so he doesn't have the 30 day no compete clause. He could show up
tonight if he has a deal in place. Also Luke Harper should be joining AEW any week now. Watch the Ascension
end up in ROH or something lol

Brodie will probably come in two weeks. It is too early for him
And Roberts is now a member?

They’re saving Brodie lee for his hometown debut in Rochester...

That episode was pretty average, The Jake the Snake promo was really the only thing that stuck out to me but even then I was disappointed MJF didn’t make a live appearance to confront Cody...

Wasn’t Lance Archer supposed to debut?

Yeah I was disappointed not to see Lance Archer only because outside of a few appearances in Japan
I haven't really seen him since his TNA days in the mid 2000's and even back then I never really watched
their product that much. But with the Fight Network I've gone back and seen a lot of stuff from back then
so I was curious to see how he would be in AEW.

As for Jake the Snake wow looks like he's sticking around. One of the things that popped in my head was
wow that's another legend lost from the WWE 2K video game series to go along with Matt Hardy this week.

Great times for legends though... Jake, Arn, Tully etc in AEW...Disco Inferno, Ken Shamrock etc in TNA...
Gangrel and Blue Meanie showed up in ROH recently...Nikkita Koloff and Rock N' Roll Express in NWA and
Goldberg champ plus the return of Edge in WWE. I also watched MLW for the first time last night something
I've been meaning to do for over a year and who do I see show up? Savio Vega lol.

Don't watch much wrestling any more but the Jake promo came up on my social media feed. While he was a bit off, he still can cut a promo better than most in the business today.

That ending line was just gold as he walked away.

Jake can barely move around. His voice sounds pained and his breathing a bit labored. Still goes out and delivers a whopper A+ **** promo. Makes me sad to think how substance abuse robbed wrestling of 2+ decades of potentially great work in the business. Most in said business list Jake in their top 3-5 minds ever.

Jake didn't look great, but he still looked better than he did 20 years ago. And a perfect toss of the mic to end his promo. So, is he going to be managing Archer or Brodie?

It was a great promo by Jake, part of me wish that last lien was saved to be said to a heel like MJF, but still nice. Should be interesting to see who the Exaulted one is and who Jake's client is, mystery can be fun.

Loving AEW, my only thing now is aren't there too many heel factions? We have the Inner Circle, Dark order, and now Death Triangle.

All Elite Wrestling - Discussion

Post#695 » by AirCanadaMouse » Wed Mar 11, 2020 9:35 pm

Did anybody catch AEW Dark by any chance??

This Abadon character was brilliant!! They need to sign her permanently and just make her be the female Kane (1997 version)... give her some backstory on why she looks the way she does, but I’m so intrigued by this gimmick...

Ps: Kane is probably my favourite character when I think about it. That’s just a really well written character that scared me so much when I was younger ... I legit thought he killed a ref because he put gasoline on one of them...lmao ,I came back to watch the next week to see if the ref was alive... and I started watching wrestling ever since haha.

This is probably an unpopular opinion but I really wish they had more talking segments. I’m actually a fan of segments like this more so than the wrestling itself, which is very strange thing to say but alas. Here we are.

I really enjoyed the ending, Inner Circle is clearly going to lose the blood and guts match though, but I’m now interested to see if this will be their downfall.

Great crowd btw, they made that MJF/Butcher and Blade vs Jurassic Express match so much better, they were well into it. But I feel like I’ve seen this exact matchup way too many times now.

Also I can’t help but feel they botched Lance Archer debut. He did nothing memorable, and when has Jake the Snake ever been the type to tell you straight up what he’s going to do?

His promo last week was really good, but the old jake was way more deceptive. One of my favourite gimmicks ever, but I guess it’s a good change for the usual chaotic AEW debut, where someone just pops up with no backstory and proceeds to do a beat down.

It was another episode where it wasn’t bad, but not one I’ll re watch again.

I’m starting to realize I’ve gotten really spoiled with how they had classic episode after classic episode during the build to revolution...

Next PPV is in May so I don’t expect things to heat up until next month

Another note ... I don’t want to see chair shots to the head. Idc about how they had their hands up. I don’t ever want to see that in wrestling anymore. It’s over with. Sorry.

And why was Kenny swinging with his “broken hand” lmao, that was a huge mis step even for the legend himself

How 'bout Jake showing up every week with a different client and eventually forming a stable?

Not sure if anyone else on here is watching, but I’m digging the way AEW is doing their show so far this week. They have some other wrestlers out there in the crowd making noise and it’s adding to the atmosphere of the match.
