With all the attention Tatum’s getting I really can’t wait till we get everyone back (fingers crossed we can get to that scenario). Hayward, Kemba & Gordon are going to benefit massively if Tatum ends up getting double teamed in the playoffs.

How good was Antoine before he fell in love with the 3 point line? Well, the 3 point line and high stakes black jack...

another ringer article giving out "3rd quarter" awards for this point in the season. JT got most improved.

it probably gets lost in the shuffle as we watch Semi Ojeleye's ascension to superstardom, but Tatum is quietly improving his game as well

https://www.theringer.com/nba/2020/3/5/21166159/nba-awards-zion-williamson-giannis-antetokounmpo-jayson-tatum

Here is one of the 3 paragraphs to entice you:

It’s not like Tatum wasn’t good before this; hell, I picked him as an All-Star reserve based on his performance before the surge, not what came after it. To jump up this much during the season, though, is truly wild. One minute, he’s a pile of enticing tools who produces a lot, but is also prone to some occasional foibles and miscues. The next minute, he’s … I don’t know, a 6-foot-8 Adrian Dantley who is a deadeye from deep? Glen Rice, but Make It All-Defense? Not Kevin Durant or Tracy McGrady, but damn, also not nearly as far from those sorts of comparisons as anyone would’ve expected two months ago?

Who do you think will end with the best career. Given their current circumstances and what they've shown so far.

Luka, Zion, or Tatum?

In terms of winning? I think Tatum and luka will win more. I like their respective positions they play for today’s nba. I think Zion will be an absolute beast and may even be ranked higher than Tatum but as of now I’m not sure yet if your down 1 end of the game and need a bucket he Can go iso And get it.

Luka, Zion and Tatum in terms of career stats. In terms of winning I think Tatum is gonna have the most success-mind you we are in the super team era still, Zion can team up with a pg or a wing and win a bunch or hell maybe he just becomes the total package.

Tatum was like the 3rd/4th option last year.
He jumped to the 1st option this year.

IMO this comes down way more to randomness/luck/how life goes than anything we can see right now and it's kind of pointless to think about.

If you saw KG and Duncan's 22 year old selves, you'd probably think KG will have the "greater" career. But Duncan is the more legendary of the two, he won more, was on better teams, had better longevity, etc.

Antoine Walker and Pierce are like that too. Walker was more prodigious for his age statistically at the beginning. But due to various factors you can't see or predict (as a fan), Pierce eclipsed him.

Also Kobe/McGrady/Iverson/Carter.... how dominant a player is at this early/breakout juncture of their career, doesn't correlate that strongly to who finishes ahead of who in the end. Comes down to who stays in one piece, who's team gets good, who's makeup is right in ways we don't know about yet.

Tim Duncan has people tanking for him and was heralded as the next great thing. I did see both of them at 22 sadly I’m old enough. I’m not really projecting them on how they play now, I’m projecting them on positions in the modern nba, today a wing (Tatum) and scoring guards are most valuable than an extremely explosive and athletic freak Powe forward who doesn’t shoot well enough yet to play small forward a ton.

Zion can absolutely become hands down the best of the 3. Tatum can pass Luka especially given he’s a 2way player but as of now my original guess is how I see It.

Doncic most likely, just because his offensive skill level is obscene but Tatum is a much more well-rounded player, much better defender. Zion is never going to be healthy enough to be up there with Doncic and Tatum. But for the minutes he's on the court, he is definitely better than both I think, but how likely is it that he can stay healthy? Tatum is the most durable guy in his draft, and just played 40 minutes when he probably would have taken the night off if anyone else on the **** team could stay healthy for even 2 games. Has he even had an injury that required him to miss a game yet? Seems like at least this year it's all just fake injuries to get him a single game off.

At times last year sadly looking back, he wasn't always even a real option. We would have games he didn't get to shoot enough at all, not even close. I remember a lot of people asking why Tatum wasn't shooting enough.

He was really pushed aside. Might have been a sophomore slump but also might have been how the roster was constructed at the time.
