Great signing, definitely took a below market deal.
This offseason was very disturbing though. Payroll is down over $30 mil from last year, and we don't have a legit 3rd baseman. The back half of our starting pitching rotation looks very weak also. I know payroll was high in 2019, but this is a drastic cut.
If we stay around the $100 million mark in the future, Yelich's $27 eats a pretty big chunk.

The way he got emotional during the presser was almost startling because he's so even-keeled. But it was a nice moment for everyone involved.

Yelich is having about $4m per year deferred on his contract which will have him paid through 2042.
