If LeBron got calls like Giannis and Harden (+400 FTs, -200 misses/TOs per season - that's like a 10+% shift in FG%) his boxscore stats would be better or at least close to Giannis, his impact stats would be the best by far and the Lakers would have the best record despite Giannis' +6 supporting cast.

Lebron took 15 free throws today.. bucks were in the penalty within 5 mins of start of both 3rd and 4th quarters. First four bucks fouls in 4th were on Lebron... he gets a very friendly whistle .

LeBron's a clear favorite now
It's not just that he played better than Giannis, it's also the fact that he exposed Giannis' weaknesses and showed to the NBA why awarding pretenders isn't good for the business. He had him gassed, reluctant to drive and trying to get switched off LeBron.

Yup, it was a bad look for Giannis. The media is fickle and people have recency bias.
In his prime he should have dominated old Lebron and it was actually the opposite on both ends of the court. Lebron bullied him. Really surprising.

Zinedine Zidane at 34 dominated the 2006 World Cup. These greats that can stay healthy, don't go away all that easy. Bar the 2nd quarter, Giannis played well, not to mention dominated in their first meeting.

Wrong, this was one game. Are we just going to pretend the first meeting where giannis dominated, didn't happen? Giannis has been better thus far. Bron has 20 or so games to make up ground. Also i think it's unfair to call giannis a pretender. Bron had his struggles as well and didn't win until he teamed up with hall of fame calibre guys. Pretender is fitting for someone like harden who has come up short multiple times. But i won't discredit his MVP because he deserved it. This is a regular season award after all. Regarding giannis getting gassed, i think this is because giannis hasn't averaged a lot of minutes. Also he hasn't learnt to conserve his energy like the other stars. It's like he only knows how to play at one tempo and that is always go hard. He needs to mix it up like bron does.

correct me if im wrong did lebron guarded giannis on the first game they met.. all iremember is ad is the only one guarding him that night .. now that we see lebron guarding giannis we now know why lebron has a shot at winning it but mostly unlikely because i know lebron will coast at all the remaining games.

We saw this last year in the playoffs when Giannis melted down That's why I'm not sold on the Bucks in the playoffs.

Please, if Giannis had another top 5 player on his team the Bucks would of won and it’s a whole different story.

Irrelevant but i laughed so hard with this.
Translation:
Greek "fan": Gianni you took it up in the *** today
Thanassis and Giannis run back towards the "fan"
Thanassis: Come here you little chicken! Say that to my face.
Giannis : Come say it here. Come here.

Giannis is the MVP for this season but yesterday LeBron had been much better that Giannis on offense and defense...The numbers are maybe close but not their performence yesterday in staples.

Not that i remember but bron only really guards when he's engaged or has to. Again this was one game. Giannis has been better and you expect him to, being much younger. The challenge for giannis will come playoff time. He'll contribute regardless because he's too much of a physical force. People though will continue to criticise his flaws when he comes up short. It's crazy though because even bron needed all the shooting he could get to get his rings, not to mention bona fide 2s and 3s. Giannis has neither. There's a misconception that bucks are a good shooting side because they take a lot of 3s when really they are league average. This tells me that they'll have both good and bad nights. Just gotta hope they don't get bounced on a bad night.

LeBron might have AD to help but the Bucks have a pretty stacked 2-way team from top to bottom as a supporting cast for Giannis. Their numbers still beast on other teams when Giannis sits. There's no way he doesn't have a sick supporting cast too if they're on a 70 win pace with Giannis playing 31 mins a game.
I will say this much, if the Bucks fail to win 70 and LeBron outplays Giannis down this last 20 game stretch while not having a single strike-out vs his remaining Marquee matchups, there's a chance the media gives it to him. A lot of the unanimity is based on that magic 70 number. If they win 69 games or God forbid 68, the race becomes a lot more wide open than people think.

LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

Those who think that Giannis and LeBron were close for their performence yesterday,it was not really the case
This is also true that Davis had been great in the second half and Giannis did not have a lot of help on offense in this game but LeBron was much better on offense and defense in the last 44 minutes.

See how leborn does against LAC this could seriously make this a 2 man race again if he has great game against Kawhi and PG. remember voters will have these games as recent memories . A game pre all star break are not as important

Updated stats from after the Bucks-Lakers game.
* = leads the NBA
Giannis ---------> 31.6 PER*; .286 WS48*; 11.5 BPM*; best record in the league
Davis ------------> 28.3 PER; .262 WS48; 8.5 BPM
LeBron ----------> 25.9 PER; .215 WS48; 8.4 BPM
So we're basically at the same point as before the game. But LeBron has no more chances against Giannis and the Bucks. Davis' presence and dominance likely ends any chance LeBron would have for the award.

Giannis is a regular season player
Bron should just focus on finals mvp
That’s only one that matters
