A lot of the losses coincide with Nunn having a bad offensive game and since he's not even average on the defensive end, he's usually a net negative like last night 17 minutes as a starter -20. It's not really Nunn's fault, he's inexperienced, he should be coming off the bench but this FO did not bring in a vet scorer(didn't even have to be a big scorer) to start. At least Spoelstra does the smart thing in giving Nunn a chance and if it's not working, usually benching him.

Right now, if you want to fix the team and get ready for the playoffs, move Dragic back into the starting lineup, or swap DJJ(I'd rather move Nunn to the bench) with Crowder but I think he's needed to come off the bench for off/def stability. Dragic's not winning 6th man of the year and he is way more consistent than Nunn although both of them are bad defensively. Let Nunn try to score against the backups. Right now the only starters I have faith in being able to score somewhat consistently would be Butler and Robinson. Bam carries the defense and sometimes is good offensively, Nunn... if he's not hitting his shots he's killing the team and DJJ, he's not shooting much but he brings defense.

The roster is very weak at defensive bigs and PG... mainly because of Winslow being hurt/traded, the part that really hurts is that the FO didn't fix the situation, they decided to sit on their hands till summer(if that early) to address that situation.

The issue is that Nunn needs to be on the floor with Yimmy to hide Nunn's incompetence as a PG. Unless you want to use Iguodala as a 2nd unit point forward with Nunn, which I think would likely be a disaster, you kinda have to go with Nunn as a pseudo-PG in the SL next to unofficial PG Yimmy. Not ideal, but can be mitigated by benching Nunn for Dragon in the 4th

Also since Nunn is either hot or cold, it's nice to have him with Yimmy/Bam/DRob so that you don't have to depend on him being hot, which sounds good in theory but the problem has been Nunn trying to shoot himself out of cold games when those shots could be going to Yimmy/Bam/DRob. We should never find ourselves in a position where we have to depend on an undrafted rookie to be a volume shooter

I really don't care to get the most out of Nunn, I'd like to get the most out of the team and a lot of the time you don't see Nunn in the 4th quarter because he's so bad. Let him come off the bench, see if he's scoring if so, WONDERFUL, you can leave him out there and give some of the starters extended time off. It comes down to this, this team needs chemistry, an inconsistent Nunn who sometimes is so bad he doesn't see the floor much in the 2nd half isn't how you create chemistry with your rotation. The chemistry between players on the court is sometimes just the difference between knowing you can shoot the gap to knock down a pass vs an easy layup.

I just don't a damn about getting the most out of a certain young player and putting the rest of the team in a hole, this team is too good to hope Nunn is on that particular evening.

I'm not sure dragic can be as aggressive as he is with the starting unit. He's not an off ball player and that takes touches away from Bam and Jimmy. Bam and Jimmy need to be more aggressive and selfish.
