Here's the thing, talent-wise a "healthy" Embiid is worth more than Bam in Miami because Embiid can dominate on both sides of the floor which a lot of that comes from him being a bigger player.

I actually think it's really simple to be a contender with Embiid, you let him operate around the low post, have a dynamic ball-handler who is a triple threat(which Butler was) and put defenders who can shoot 3s around him. The issue for Philly is that they had 2 top tier talents that BOTH could both be dominate players if their teams were built better for their talents. If Embiid had been more healthy I'm guessing they would have moved Simmons by now.

I actually fear now that with Simmons' back injury, Embiid may possibly be off the table for any type of trade for the next few years.

I'm not so sure Miami's FO is willing to move Bam for Embiid, I think looking at health and Bam's improvement, they won't include him and with that, Embiid may be moved elsewhere and really erupt as a player.
