Bob Watson is pissed off that we fired his pathetic ass that he is going to anything possible to screw us over.

All I know is that if Beckett pegs one of our players he better serve a multi game suspension.

It's pretty obvious Joba threw them at Youkilis.

Come on now... I dont think it's neccesary for the suspension but he did throw at Kevin on purpose.

**** that. The pitch slipped out of Joba's hand. He's not throwing at Youkilis' head anyone can deduce that. Except MLB and the Red Sox, of course.

He had no reason to be throwing at Youkilis. It's not like any Yankee was hit that day, the team was about to sweep a big series, and Joba is a rookie with 11 innings under his belt so there is no chance he took it upon himself to suddenly go head hunting. And if Torre was going to tell a guy to send a message (which he wouldn't) he certainly wouldn't use a rookie of Joba's status to do so. There is no logical explanation as to why Joba would be throwing at a guy in that situation.

He wasn't going to pitch these 2 days for the Yankees so the suspension doesn't hurt the team in any way, but it is more the principal that they really suspended him for that. It really makes you wonder how guys like Towers didn't get suspended for hitting ARod, or back in the day when Pedro sent both Jeter and Soriano to the hospital on back to back pitches, then Joba gets suspended for this.

Also, considering that Joba was thrown out without there being a warning (which I won't even argue, that is up to the umpire) how does that warrant a suspension? Especially considering he didn't even hit Youkilis. No warning. No hit batter. Yes suspension.

He didn't throw at Youk on purpose. Watch the replay and you can see it was a terrible coincidence that the ball was thrown to the exact same spot. His arm angle wasn't headed toward Youk at all. just watch the two pitches again. He was trying to throw it inside.

i guess having clemens next to him in the locker room is rubbing off. i'd keep him away, joba might soon be on the juice like clemens was. he's adapting to the bully role nice, though.

If he was trying to throw inside, why was Posada setup away on both pitches? It's not like he needed to worry about the Red Sox stealing signs in a 5-0 game with no one on base to relay those signs to Youkilis.

I've watched him spot 98 MPH fastballs on the corners ever since he came up in the majors, I highly doubt it is a coincidence he throws 2 of them above Youkilis' head on back to back pitches.

I don't agree with the suspension at all. I think that if they really think he is head hunting with a 98 MPH fastball, he needs to be suspended quite a bit longer than 2 games. He could seriously hurt, end a guys career like that or even kill a guy like that. If they didn't think it was intentional, then don't suspend him at all. Either way, I think the MLB **** up with the suspension.
