Kyrie is the coronavirus that starts in one city and follows you around the world infecting little kids minds and elderly people crying to make him shut up already..

Probably not good to joke about that, being that it is currently killing people and there are people on this forum who are dealing with it.

Sorry for that distasteful joke. My bad.

McD's gotta feel pretty good about himself seeing all of Bender, Chriss and Jackson playing great for their respective teams... :noway:

It was also McD's job to put a good coaching staff around the team and to help develop those guys. Not only did he not do this, it's arguable that he stunted their growth with the coaching changes and not bringing in a PG to help them (and Booker) get better on the court.

New fan around here, got the chance to see the Suns beat the Rockets earlier in February, and got a hand on a Los Suns Rubio shirt(please don't trade him lol)

Anyone here thinking on having Atkinson's turning this team around next year? He did it with much less to work with for the Nets, I mean... who knows? Miss the Nash years with winning records and all

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

I don't see the Suns firing Monty Williams.

He signed a five year contract and on a relatively high salary. There are not official numbers about the money, but that was the rumor at the moment of the signing.

And we have improved a lot this season with Monty. The last four seasons we were beyond terrible, we were the laughingstock of the league. But we are competitive this year and we have a decent record (26W -39L)...so we are on the right track.

I like Atkinson a lot, but it's not the best moment for another change.

Would've loved Kenny on this team, the guy is perfect. But Monty is here for the "long term" and we're not looking to move on from him any time soon. And as good as Kenny was for the Nets, I think bringing in *another* coach with a different philosophy is just not what this team needs at the moment.

:o :o :o ????

Maybe time to bring Stephon Marbury back? Seriously though. I wonder how many former nba players and/or undrafted players will be looking to stay here and jump onto teams if possible? IF the Chinese government does in fact institute a lifetime ban for non returning players under contract, Should we look to have any interest in any of them?

I can't really give a lot of credit to Monty on the improvements

We added a solid starting PG(last year had 0), Bridges Improved, got Saric, a starting PF(even if not that great), Baynes whom as a starter won us many games.

Those are big changes, that by default would improve this team record, I actually feel like this team underachieved, and had some concerns with the game plan.

That being said, forgot that Montys contract was 5 years, that means he'll be around for next year at least. Igor's contract was a 3 year one but that didn't really stop McD to change ONCE AGAIN.

Honestly, Keeping Monty for half of that contract would be a surprise, considering the track record

There's a lot of negative things to point out about Monty's coaching, but I don't think he'll be held responsible for our underachievement, given all out of the ordinary events that happened this season (suspension, injuries, referees...)

On top of that, he has kept us competitive for the whole season, and players seem bought in, and we sure as hell seemed tired of the revolving door and loss of credibility around the league.

So, yeah, he'll stay.

I agree with all points.

We did underachieve, not sure it's his fault, jury's still out there if he's doing a good job, sooo not enough for kicking him out yet

Just feel like bad timing. Had we kept Igor and had the same results, would be easier to dump him for Kenny lol
