How about shipping off Oubre and maybe Rubio to secure Chris Paul and Draymond Green on a 22 Million per year contract... for 1 year each....

Even if I wanted to. I don't see how this works logistically. Both Green and CP still have many years left on their deals so where does $22m a year come from?

Yeah, those guys make like $65 million a year and Oubre and Rubio combined make less than half that.

I wouldn't be surprised, if they decide to resume the season, they just cut games down or move straight to the playoffs. Maybe push it back to mid-summer and start next season late (in a shortened season)

Kind of wondering if they will restart the season in June for an August finish. Then start next season in January. Eliminates most of the head-to-head competition with the NFL. Edit: Right now is the perfect time for the NBA to adjust their 82 game season to be played from January to August.

They will resume games in April/June and all teams will have a play in tournament for the playoffs. Suns have a healthy roster and win the championship.

Goodnight everyone.

I would love that. I used to barely watch the NBA until football season was over. But the worst is no sports I'm interested in throughout the summer, particularly July and August.

I wonder if the corresponding loss of revenue amongst the teams, due to these changes, season suspensions, etc. Will have a domino effect on what teams and larger markets will be willing to offer in the way of more lucrative contracts that higher tiered free agents were expecting to get?

Since most all teams would logically be looking at least to some degree to try and recoup some of their revenue losses, etc. Could this lessen the liklihood of certain teams to hand out big deals? And could that somewhat level the playing field for smaller markets like ours to some degree IF these larger markets tighten their spending habits this summer?

This was a waste from the beginning. Harper was never in the NBA radar. Lazy signing by JJ.

Especially given how many other G league level guards we have.

They weren't eliminated from the playoff contention though.

Maybe they have a play in tournament when they get back for all the teams not eliminated.

Well, the season is probably over - doubt they make up games and just go straight to the playoffs

Right now - would be 10th in ping pong balls

I would say thats an improvement

As for the decision by the NBA - its the right one. I hope Sarver does want Cuban does and tries to take care of the workers - with the Suns its 6 more home games - but still he should try too do that.

Be safe everybody and wash your hands!

If they skipped the rest of the season but decided to give those who were still in the hunt a chance, they could have first round:

Memphis bye (GS is mathematically eliminated)
Portland vs Minnesota
Phoenix vs New Orleans
Sacramento vs SA

Memphis would play Sac/SA winner
Phx/NOP winner would play Portland/Minn winner.

The two winners of above matchups would play.

I never understood it. We had, and continue to have, obvious needs at the 2, 3, 4 and 5, and Harper was never going to go through the growth spurt needed to be effective at the NBA level. I even checked out his agent's client list to see if maybe we were doing him a solid so we could be in line for future talent - not much there. You just can't tell me there weren't better options than Jared Harper.
