Re: Scottie Lewis
Is Scottie an "ideal situation" talent? or do you guys think he could be developed anywhere?

For me, I like a team like OKC who knows how to develop these types. Toronto is optimal. Memphis is a great fit.
Avoid teams like the Knicks.
Most teams need time.

I like Scottie's profile and how hard he seems to work so i was trying to gauge if that is enough for him to eventually find success regardless of where he gets drafted to because he's just driven enough or if he would absolutely need an ideal situation to give him any chance at maximizing his gifts.
I do agree that NY would be a terrible spot given their current roster construct. I'm on the fence about him not being able to survive a bad environment though.

Got to love some kids not treating college as a pit stop. He’ll be fun to follow next year.

had a feeling he'd come back, always felt he and Antoine would come out together in the same draft

Scottie could be a top 10 pick in 2021.

is it because he will improve or 2021 draft will be weaker?

Lewis would be top10 guy regardless
but no, next year's class at the top is a lot stronger.

He has to significantly improve in my eyes like Haliburton did. 2021 is not going to be weaker.

I don't really see it with him, looks like the could develop into a role player maybe.

Re: Scottie Lewis
other than Thybulle he's probably the most impressive wing defender I've seen, especially for a freshmen, here is a comp of his blocks, just absolutely nasty rotations, speed, hips, explosiveness

Re: Scottie Lewis
bump.
One of my favorite sleepers in this draft, really think he has potential to be special. Has been out the past few games with Covid. Not sure why his coaches don't use him more in the offense. I think he has more offensive ability then he's currently able to show at Florida. Hoping the Raptors can scoop him up and develop him.

Re: Scottie Lewis
He hasn't developed offensively how I would have liked. But, the intriguing upside is still there. If he is going to get a featured role and feels he can make a leap at Florida, I would stay. He could get lost in the shuffle playing against pros due to how raw his game is. Defensively, he projects as a lock down player. Game speed is elite and he hit a big shot against WVU the other day. Needs to become a go to.

Re: Scottie Lewis
No, he is still incredibly raw and doesn't look for his shot. He either needs to receive a feature role or leave. If he can show out in the tournament, that is a different story. And I am the biggest Scottie Lewis fan out there. I was projecting him as a top 5 pick before he entered as a freshman.

Re: Scottie Lewis
he doesn't need to look for his own shot, if that's why you're drafting Lewis at this point you're looking for the wrong guy.

Re: Scottie Lewis
So he doesn't need to develop his world class athleticism on the offensive end? You are drafting him as role player?
