I think that's right. There's also the fact that most of Biden's supporters tend to watch and read the MSM news outlets which are clearly more supportive of the establishment candidates from the beginning of the election.

And I think that most Sanders supporters are ignorant of history - of how "revolutionary" movements tend to go wrong and lead to nothing but the ultimate empowerment of the elites that you were attempting to overthrow. I think that they also tend to completely ignore the authentic dynamics of human nature - how some of us are naturally altruistic while others are profoundly selfish, with the rest of us distributed in-between, and imagine that "re-education" efforts (mostly at the point of a gun) can permanently change deeply held psychological traits.

Everyone knows that we need a profound economic change in this country, but everyone with a brain should also know that utopian movements tend to end up consuming themselves - and we shouldn't want that for the United States. The French Revolution began with idealism and ended with Napoleon and the restoration of Louis Phillipe. The Russian Revolution ended with Stalin and the Gulags. The Chinese with Mao and the Cultural Revolution.

We had a choice in 2020 - to support a candidate spouting revolutionary nonsense or one framing a series of innovations to capitalism that would have realistically reversed the Reagan devolution. The left chose nonsense - and now it will get Biden. They should feel lucky that they paid so small a price for their strategic idiocy.

Here's a story:

A young married woman in my neighborhood is among a group of locals in the hood who get our dogs together. She's a teacher in Queens at a predominantly Asian school. While we got our dogs together late this afternoon, I asked if she and her husband had any plans for the weekend. She told that they did have plans to get together with another couple for dinner but that THEY BACKED OUT because of the C-virus. So I'm like, ohhhh, they know you work at the school with the Asian kids? Then I told here, "That's racism by association!"

I refuse to let this virus - and the associative racism it engenders - keep me out of Chinese restaurants or hanging out with my neighbor who works with Asians.

It's crazy. Both Justin Trudeau's and Tom Hanks's wives each have the virus. But I don't see too many Asians with it.

Breaking off any direct social contacts with people outside of your household is the morally responsible thing to do.

A medical professor at Johns Hopkins University urged Americans not to believe low numbers of confirmed coronavirus cases in the United States, warning the actual number of people walking around with the virus could be “between 50,000 and half a million.”

Dr. Marty Makary told Yahoo Finance's "On the Move" on Friday that he believes the number of coronavirus cases is much higher than the 1,600 confirmed cases and 41 deaths that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has reported.

“Don’t believe the numbers when you see, even on our Johns Hopkins website, that 1,600 Americans have the virus,” Makary said. “No, that means 1,600 got the test, tested positive. There are probably 25 to 50 people who have the virus for every one person who is confirmed.”


The professor noted that American hospitals will be overwhelmed by the massive influx of people, saying most intensive care units are already operating near full capacity.

“We only have 100,000 ICU beds in the United States. We could see 200,000 new patients that need critical care up to 2 million,” he said.

Statistical models meant to project the potential reach of COVID-19 suggest more than a million Americans could die if the nation does not take swift action to stop its spread.

Makary, who has been a contributor for The Hill, pointed to the shortage of coronavirus testing kits from the CDC as a reason for low case numbers.

“The CDC did admit to a mistake in the rollout of the testing and let’s face it — they went with the wrong testing system,” Makary said. “It was an early decision. It lived deep within the CDC and they have acknowledged that mistake.”

Between Jan. 18 and March 12, there were 13,624 tests for COVID-19 conducted in the United States, Yahoo noted from CDC data. During that same period, South Korea conducted more than 100,000 tests and the U.K. administered nearly 25,000.


President Trump vowed to overhaul the coronavirus testing approach in the U.S. on Friday, blaming former President Obama for the slow CDC process.

"For decades the @CDCgov looked at, and studied, its testing system, but did nothing about it,” Trump tweeted. "It would always be inadequate and slow for a large scale pandemic, but a pandemic would never happen, they hoped," he added. "President Obama made changes that only complicated things further."

Trump said 500,000 additional tests will be available next week, with drive-thru testing locations being announced Sunday night.

Trump also declared a national emergency over the coronavirus, freeing up additional resources and funding for the federal, state and local governments fighting the disease.

The Food and Drug Administration on Thursday approved an emergency authorization for a faster coronavirus test made by diagnostics maker Roche.

That's what I fear. We might beat Trump, but we won't kill that movement. If Biden doesn't live up to anything (and it's possible he doesn't), we could see a even worse President in 2024. Whether we like to admit it or not, there's a large population Trump speaks to.

If Biden wins, we most certainly will. Trump election's is the result of the Barack/Biden presidency. expecting people to all of a sudden "wisen up" to not electing people like trump is just as ridiculous as expecting people to stop voting for moderate neo-liberals who pretend to be socially progressive whilst being conservative until it is no longer convenient.
