That's the current plan. I'm looking forward to the dynamic.

I really, really hope the tournament is not cancelled.

oh jesus christ, how many multi faceted junk undersized wings do you want? go play in the sandpit with grant williams and glass langford.

As many as possible, if you don't understand this I am not sure what the heck are we doing here

I have read multiple posters advocating for Udoka Azubuike in the 1st round here, you guys are insane

Best case situation for me with Boston likely picks are;

Patrick Williams or Devin Vassell 17th
Aleksej Pokusevski or Leandro Bolmaro 26th
Tre Jones or Zeke Nnaji 30th
Carlos Alocén or Isaiah Joe 46th

If you can get that draft, that's home run

Then pray for Trayce Jackson-Davis to declare or go with Bolmaro at 17th

I have a clear cut top7

Ball
Edwards

Avdija
Anthony
Toppin
Maxey
Hayes

After that, Bolmaro, Williams and Jackson-Davis complete my top10, Okongwu, Haliburton, Okoro and Achiuwa complete the lottery

I expect some good guys to slide, so you guys should be in prime position to take advantage of that

No wiseman?

Bolmaro as top 10? Turnover prone, takes baaaad shots, scrawny, dont see it.

Avdija will be a solid role player, a name that doesnt get mentioned much imo.

I'm really not that knowledge on cbb, but with no bball at the moment, I've been looking at draft prospects because why not? Looks like it's set in stone we'll pick at 17 considering current circumstances. So with that, who you guys have in mind?

I wouldn't mind a pg, honestly. Also could use bench scoring. Those two kids from Arizona, Mannion and Green, look promising. Mannion has a nice, unselfish game. Very inefficient though. Green could be a nice spark off the bench who has good size for a 2 guard. Theo Maledon is another interesting prospect.

Bigs that could be avbl there: Paul Reed and Aleksej Pokusevski, look like they have good modern day NBA big man abilities.

Something I was thinking about recently is how COVID-19 leading to the cancellation of March Madness will impact the upcoming draft. Alot of guys boost their draft stock and even make a name for themselves (hello Brad Stevens & Gordon Hayward) via the tourney & they won't get a chance to this year. That's going to keep some hidden gems covered up. A few guys I was looking forward to keeping tabs on in the tourney are Patrick Williams, Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, Saddiq Bey, Jahmi'us Ramsey & Kira Lewis. It's a bummer we don't get to watch these guys play, but it could benefit the Cs in the draft.

I hope everyone is staying positive out there.

Seeing how our bench has suffered this year and how well Langford and Grant have been on defense I think Aaron Nesmith would be a wonderful addition to our team. His shooting and instant offense is just what our bench need when the ball movement isn't working. Hope he will be available with our 17th pick.

Smart Langford Nesmith Grant Rob would dominate I think.

I think we need to go with shooting, and lots of it. I would like to see us go with Devin Vassell or Josh Green with the 17th. Either will challenge Langford and with him, be a good 1-2 punch off the bench, similar to a Brown and Tatum lite pairing.

I would like to see Jalen Smith or Reggie Perry taken with the 26th. Both are mobile PF's that can hit the 3, and give R. Williams and G. Will a challenge. (also insurance for Rob's hip)

I would like Danny to trade the 30th for a 2nd this year and a 2nd next year. We can't have another 3 rooks on the team along with probable 2 more as 2-ways, after having 7 rooks this year. (big club and 2-ways)

I would like to see us take the best PG and SG available in the second round for our 2 ways, since both our 2 ways will be with the big club next year.

In a poor draft, with too many combo guards, the Celtics get three very different 7-footers and then the ready-to-play 6-10 power forward who hits 3s.

When you are paying $47million for the point guard spot, and $57million for two swingmen who are not Tatum and will never be as good as Tatum, and you just used a lotto pick on a shooting guardo Romeo, you should be drafting for the positions where there are minutes available.

Aleksej Pokusevski, not easy to scout or predict. Tall guy who gets assists, blocks and 3s, might as well go with that instead of the mandatory shooting guard who can't shoot or the undersized power forward. Zeke Nnaji, athletic dunker who hits his free throws. Udoka Azubuike, very strong center. All three are similar height but could be on the floor together due to their different skills.

Don't think they use all the picks, but they could easily have four open spots, and hopefully some draft night trades move out some of the parts on the roster that don't fit well.

Love Tillie as a 2nd rnd pick. He'd be perfect. For 1st round, I'd try to get Nesmith and then either trade out or draft n stash the rest.. This team is one of the youngest in the league. Doesn't need to get much younger.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

I'm surprised this thread hasn't exploded with scouting report and videos.

speculation is all we have at the moment unless Adam Silver has a bball tournament for people.

This will likely be the least-informed draft in a long time.

Teams will probably make better draft decisions since they won't be biased by team-scheduled workouts where a player may look especially great or terrible in that one workout for any number of reasons.

Sorry if this has already been discussed but... is the draft still scheduled for June 25?

I can't imagine they'd change the draft. You can do it through teleconference in a worst-case. So you may not be able to individually work players out? Oh well, everyone is on equal footing there, so no big deal.

Well, if the season is not over before June 25, how do you determine the teams that go to the lottery?
