Bloomberg also didn't drop out until after Super Tues. Just like Warren. And those two had similar faring on Super Tues. So I'm not really buying that there would have been this huge rush of support for Sanders that didn't come. Both candidates had a rival to their slight right competing for vote share.

I'll likely still vote for Sanders in the OR primary. His policy platform is closest to where I want to see the country go at this time. But whereas in 2016 I do think the momentum was in his favor (I think he would have won the general election) the tide is receding for him now. I don't see a significant advantage for him vs. Biden in the generals. If anything, the country is yearning for somebody who can simply re-establish the country's institutions and that's an insider.

I agree with the first part. But Biden had the advantage thanks to getting endorsements from Amy and Pete. That started a lot of momentum. Whereas everybody left Bernie hanging. It was like there is too much risk into endorsing Bernie.

I'm going to get off track here, but the only progressives in this campaign, Warren and Yang, showed little to no support for Sanders. Warren went out of her way to attack Sanders. I guess her game plan was to knock Sanders out and become the only progressive left in the campaign. That back fired, as it should because voters shouldn't tolerate liars.

She's now likely eying a VP spot with Biden or some other position. She even let Biden completely manhandle and yell at her in the debate. That would not be tolerated with Sanders. It's like there's this shield around Biden.

As far Yang, he sat the sidelines the whole time until he thought Biden will win. Which broke my heart tbh. We are never going to get a progressive candidate if everybody is too scared to endorse the progressive.

Then there's Gabbard. I get it, she's gets a small percentage. But they kept changing the rules to get her out of the debates and put a guy like Bloomberg in. It was likely because she would pose a threat to Biden like she did for Harris.

Global warming is not new issue at all. I know Trump is a POS. But has Obiden/Bama made any real progress in their 8 years?

I never saw a Presidential candidate either apologize, evolve, or come up with some kind of excuse for his prior positions than Joe Biden.

Biden is clearly and definitively putting to rest the slur that he is suffering from significant cognitive decline. Joe is not perhaps what he was but he's has forgotten more than Donald Trump ever knew about politics, foreign policy, or the American spirit.

If Trump goes after Biden's son, we go after Trump's entire extended crime family, including Jared and Ivanka (Trump Soho), the Kushner family pimping visas in China, the Trump family using the Federal government as a cash machine by charging the Secret Service and other officials to stay at their bedbug-ridden properties, to the tune of more than $150 million since January 2017, etc.

Biden has made his case in a one-to-one debate tonight and clearly held his own. He wasn't even my third or fourth choice going into this campaign but I have no doubt that he has stuff to send Donald Trump back to the schithole when whence he came.

Joe performed well tonight. You can't erase what's already on record but he had a good night in that regard. Though he did absolutely lie about his prior position on Medicare, Social Security, and Veterans bennies. That was a bold faced lie.

I will also add that Joe flip-flopped or "evolved" on so many subjects that Trump will have a field day with him.

Bernie did his best and I respect that, but they both competed and Joe is not senile so nothing much changed. Bernie took his last shot. OK, fair enough, but after Tuesday he will have a choice to make, because he will be hopelessly behind.

The optics were very bad for Bernie tonight. Biden looked and sounded better, and he addressed our immediate fears while Bernie was attempting to teach us policy. His remark about Italy's singer-payer system were a devastating counterattack to Bernie's statement that MFA would have prevented our current mess. Biden wants to pay for all medical care for all people with Coronavirus testing, treatment, and hospitalization. Bernie talked about his plans, but getting that through congress would be nearly impossible unless the voters throw out half of them.

The fact that Joe used speed to keep his mind sharp tonight is besides the point. He looked more than bright enough to stand up to Trump, and Bernie looked defensive. On CNN, they're saying exactly this - how Biden looked presidential and Bernie looked confused about leadership issues.

At this point, I'll settle for just getting rid of Trump.

Joe was good about crisis management. Maybe you noticed Biden's disgusted look at Bernie when he said this was a much graver crisis than Ebola. Actually, Ebola is far worse than this virus and the only reason it didn't turn into a pandemic was because of coordinated action in West Africa. We did send troops there. Biden was speaking from experience. Obama was on top of that so that it didn't go international.
