Why do 90% of the stats websites and Wikipedia list him as an OLB? Seems like given our needs that we'd want an ILB and it looks like his stats and everything I'm reading about him suggest he's an ILB.

He basically is an inside linebaker. I believe he played SAM linebaker in a 4-3 in Cleveland, which is essential similar responsibilities as an ILB in a 3-4. Drop in zone during cover 2 and 3 and fill gaps and run support.

If he can stay healthy, he's an upgrade to Martinez. But it's a big IF. Hopefully his deal is incentive laden. I can't imagine all 16m is guaranteed.

Beef up the trenches, get a playmaker WR and an every down MLB. We have 26m and 10 picks, I think we are in the drivers seat.

Could it be the reason why rogers dorsnt prioritize it is because our TEs have sucked so bad that they are not open if i remember he sure liked cook when he was here.
These TEs are a big part of matts O we have no idea how rogers would feel about a stud TE but i bet he would cherish it.Stud ILB and a vet #2 i think would be great to

Even with Cook you're remembering pretty much a month and a half worth of games. He was pretty invisible much of the time the first 3/4 of the season.

That said MLF offense seems to prioritize RBs and TEs so it's not a bad idea to focus on adding talent at those positions

Didn't cook max out at like 30 catches for the Packers? He made the lost iconic catch outside the bomb VS the lions sterling made that ive seen by a packer in my lifetime. Other than a few decent games he was pretty meh.

I don't know how I feel about this one. Anytime you sign anyone with the "if healthy" qualifier, it should give you pause. 2/$16M isn't a huge investment, but if it stops us from making another moves to shore up the middle of the defense, it'll be a big risk.

Both deals are with guys who were released so won't factor into comp pick formula next year. If they continue to go that route and Martinez and Bulaga get decent deals could end up with two extra mid round picks.

I wonder if they take a look at Freeman if the price is right. He could be a good compliment to Jones.

Still think they need another ILB cant imagine them hooking their wagon to a dude who cant stay on the field(alteady have one of those in king) have to have their eyes on another ILB also if they trade for hopkins guess you wouldnt need a TE then

I just hope a good developmental tackle falls to us in the draft and he just takes over during the season like Jenkins did when Lane Taylor went down. Wagner was pretty rough last year in Detroit.

I think Turner being able to play RT gives them some options too like Lucas Patrick or keeping Taylor and putting him at RG.

Both those deals are good based on the cap hits and gtd money

I'm greedy, but I'd love to make a big splash and land Littleton

Hell, I'd even take Kwiatkowski. Get this defense beefed up again and go heavy on offense in the draft with the exception of maybe some defensive line help. Lancaster and Lowry aren't cutting it.

Nice, it shows that our frontoffice is fast and can be creative. That´s great, IMO!

As for the cap, how much money we have left?
