Well looks like I'll be on administrative leave for the next couple weeks. Chances are the gyms will probably close down as well within the next day or two. Time to warm my thumbs and wrist...

I've been working from home as a consultant 50% of the time over the last year or so. Nothing new here but the 2 companies I'm working for just shut down their offices this morning.

In an interesting twist to the economic armageddon being reported everywhere... I work for a company that provides quant modeling for the investment world. We're booming currently... I could work 24/7 if I wanted right now. Strange times.

Thinking about heading to Zion and Bryce next week on a camper van. Looks like national parks are still open. Would probably less crowded right now without all the foreign tourists.

The Boston college system went from 0-60 panic mode over the last few days... My daughter found out Friday they were going online after spring break on the 22nd... But that they would stay in the dorms... Later that day, they decided they were going to go home after spring break, but they'd still have classes this week until friday... So we made travel plans and storage plans... Then a kid at Brown tested positive, and they basically started saying "GET OUT NOW!"... Like she's received 11 emails since Saturday reminding her of the situation and asking when she's leaving... Yes, we told them already. :roll:

Had to get a sooner ticket and she had to have all her stuff packed up and cleaned to catch a flight tomorrow morning... Thank god they contract with a storage company...

My friends daughter goes to Pitt and they basically kicked them out... She had to go home, get her dad, they flew back yesterday to pack up all her stuff and get it in storage.

Feel a little cheated, honestly, but not as cheated as I'd feel if she was a senior losing the last half of her final year.

I've mostly worked from home for the last 5 years or so..... Not disruptive for me.... until I went to Fry's to get some basic groceries. Yikes! So much for advanced civilization. Still not statistically anywhere close to the H1N1 stuff of a decade ago that nobody remembers but social media and 24hr "news" feed the fear... toss in a contentious election year. Meanwhile I can't get my favorite soup.... or any soup for that matter. No soup for Landsberger!

Some whacked out chick just broke into my back yard and tried to get in my house... Don't need this **** in the middle of COVID-geddon... Cops didn't even want to touch her.

Our wonderful state government has made it so there are no good neighborhoods in SoCal... Just worse ones.
