mon-wed for half and tues-thurs for other half. Closed fridays.

This could change by friday though and be full remote from home.

The panic buying is really annoying, I travelled to 4 different stores just to get milk, which is insane to me.

On Friday morning my director emailed us letting us know that they're expanding work from home privileges and increasing the number of days and then later on that day our CEO and HR VP emailed the company stating that anyone that can work remotely will have to do so starting this past Monday.

I stocked up a bit more on non-perishable and frozen foods in case my household has to self quarantine for 2 weeks. People need to calm down a bit. It's good to be prepared and stock up a bit but stocking up for months is a bit much. I work in an essential service and we're staying open. This sucks but it's not a zombie apocalypse, the majority of us will get through this.

If this was the real armageddon, spending a couple of hundred dollars for an entire family is not getting you anywhere.

Might as well just start preparing for death.

But but hes got guns and toilet paper! Also hell steamroll some betas if they get in his way!

Hold up. The world is shutting down around us due to a highly contagious disease and you calling out someone who wants to make sure his family is stocked up with supplies if he goes out of commission.

I have friends who share the same logic as you. They complain about how their mom's, who they live with, are panicking and stocking up. Some people don't have the luxury to depend on others.

I own my home and depend on nobody. I’m just not panicking like a child which is refusing to use logic. Hold up.., you think that the disease is actually the biggest threat? It isn’t. And you're at an age where your friends still live which their moms and you think you even understand what I think about all of this or that you know know why? You don’t. Not even close.

Pretty sure all of us have friends of varying ages.

You put yourself out there, you say things like ", panicking like a child". You obviously have no one else to think about except yourself. Nothing wrong with that. But don't pretend the way you live is somehow better or smarter than the way others do.

If you can't understand some people have responsibilities to others who depend on them than God bless you and be on your way.

Being prepared and panic buying/hoarding are two different things. Having supplies to last you a few weeks is fine but no need to stock up on supplies for multiple months. It's also very selfish to only think that you or your family needs supplies and **** everyone else. Other people and family need supplies as well and hoarding things you may not necessarily need is selfish and irresponsible. You just need to think logically and not panic like all the other mindless idiots out there buying everything under the sun that they don't even need.

I have elderly parents who semi-depend on me for certain things. My mom mentioned that she may need some toilet paper because they are running out so I ordered them 2 packs of 24 rolls of toilet paper from amazon. There is no need to be stupid and buy like 10 packages of toilet paper.

And no, I do not live with my parents. I have a house that I paid for myself from the money I earned from my job.

When you say I’m like your friends that live with mom, then don’t complain when I say panicking like a child. You want to start it up and the play the victim after? Well if that isn’t just so damn entitled and hypocritical. Just as it is when you say good bless and on you way...lmfao at that. You don’t have a clue how many people other people are responsible for or in what ways they might be. Pretty sure I have your age group and what you’re going to teach me exactly right.

And how are people not thinking only of themselves when panic buying? Because they are thinking of their wife? Jesus...if that isn’t just lying to yourselves when you say their are other peop,e to think about.. And the fact that you think stock up before anyone else is required is the really joke. I wouldn’t be shocked if it turned out most people already had two months of food in their house but it just wasn’t their so they had to buy a year of chips and pop.

My wife and my daughter do depend on me. Why? Because I am a responsible person and they know when **** hits the fan, I will have done what I can to make sure they at least get a head start. But you wouldn't understand that correct?

Give your head a shake bro. It's bad enough as it is with people, like you, over reacting to the situation. Why choose to be a dick about it too?

But it's okay. I am sure this too shall pass. But if not, you always got moms right?

First off back to you talking about having friends part... I doubt you have to worry much.

I'm going to put it this way to help some people understand, because this is the SUBJECT of this thread....If you panic buy all the toilet paper or medicine at a store, how horrible of a friend and neighbor are you. I would say just about the **** worst. Kind of a dick, really.

And you started the insults... and now you're doing it again asking why?! Lmao. So entitled.

And I'm my mother's POA. Since kids don't know what that even means, I'll let you google it.

Hit up the Asian groceries. Everybody is steering clear of those places.

Try almond breeze instead of milk.. I've been a vegan for years so I'm biased but that stuff rocks. Plus it can stay on the shelf for several months. You should be able to find it in local grocery stores (organic / whole food sections) or stores like Whole Foods.

As for TP I'm hearing the largest manufacture will not stop producing and is running their machines at 100% capacity. So stores will be stocked again. If worried check out amazon for some cheap alternatives.

I love how buying some extra TP and extra groceries has now become “I’ll do anything to protect my family”

lol, you can really tell who’s out of touch with reality. Most of us are pampered AF in North America, buying some extra groceries and supplies isn’t some sort of heroic act. Anyone with a working credit card can do it. Hell, you can even get it all delivered to your door step.

This is all nothing compared to what some people around the world have to do just to survive on a daily basis.

What are you even on about?

IF you would rather ridicule people and decide not to buy supplies before the **** hits the fan, that is on you. Not your friend or neighbor who was responsible enough to stock their shelves.

God forbid but if this gets worse, do you think it would be easier to get the things you need later? The answer is no.

If you get quarantined and don't have supplies to get by, can you ask those "dick friends or neighbors" for help? I bet you can't.

Seriously. What is so wrong with stocking up with supplies now that we're in a state of emergency?

And besides, Costco(Dixie/Dundas) has plenty of everything you need. Went there in the afternoon this Saturday and Sunday. No lineups for gas. Plenty of parking. Everything(minus bottled water) stocked including toilet paper. Didn't even have to wait in line. Walked right up to an available cashier.

It is never like that. It was the easiest time I've ever had shopping.

The only one panicking is you friend. There's still plenty to go around. Just get it while it's still readily available.
