More recent research favors D, BUT both can be useful.

They are better in different ways. Vitamin D makes your body better at prevention+blocking virus, Vitamin C helps shorten the sickness. Both great things.

Hell, do both.
They will have to do both and quickly. The Federal government is in sort of denial of how bad things are going to get quickly.
McConnell was out campaigning this week. It'll hit home when they're in quarantine because they were exposed.

Elderberry has been touted recently too. Of course all of this is too early to know. I tried to find some but it was gone locally.

Zinc- Slows the multiplication of Viruses and makes it harder for them to attach to mucus membranes.

Vitamin C- Helps shorten the length of sickness by a small percentage (8%-12% on average). It does this by aiding in the production of white blood cells. On average a sickness is about a day shorter.

Vitamin D- Boost levels of antimicrobial peptides (a natural anti biotic of sorts from the body), especially in the lung/sinuses. It also helps prevent against Asthma attacks/reactions. Basically for upper respiratory sickness (most cold and flu, including COVID) it's very useful.

Read on Twitter

People should be preparing to brace themselves for the absolute worst, financially speaking. All of a sudden, the 3-6 month emergency fund recommended for most people is starting to look like pocket change. If worse comes to worse, I think a 3-6 YEAR emergency fund might be better suited for this situation.

I think having 12 months will likely end up being sufficient... but 18 is probably better.

For most people, the coronavirus causes only mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough. For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/28917855/four-nets-players-test-positive-coronavirus

People can't see that we live in a clickbait media environment. No media is going to publish a headline: "COVID causes mild symptoms, most people recover." because it won't get any reads. Fear, panic, hate is what gets reads, and so all the media puts out are doom and gloom articles. And we think that will all the doom & gloom articles in circulation, that it's actually the norm when it's not.

And because we have such a fragile ego and being wrong is too painful, we call anyone who disagrees dumb, racist, ignorant, evil, etc.

Hey genius,

Did you ever think that the headline doesn't say "Most people will be unaffected by outbreak" because that isn't the important part of the story? The important part is "Many people will die from respiratory disorder due to widespread Corona outbreak". Headlines tend to reflect the key message of the story.

If you word the headline your way, more and more people will think it's not serious and it will spread faster and wider and the number of people who get pneumonia increases, and then the health care system gets overloaded, and then the death rates get higher and higher.

If you word the headline the second way, people will understand that this is a very serious issue that they should pay attention to. It helps convey that this could get really bad and they need to take appropriate actions and if they do, the spread will be reduced, more people will get the care they need, and fewer people will die.

Reading the whole story will give them the rest if the info, which no one is hiding.

Why on earth is this so difficult for you to understand?

https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/elderberry

One study of 60 people with influenza found that those who took 15 ml of elderberry syrup four times per dayshowed symptom improvement in two to four days, while the control group took seven to eight days to improve (9Trusted Source).

Another study of 64 people found that taking 175-mg elderberry extract lozenges for two days resulted in significant improvement in flu symptoms, including fever, headache, muscle aches and nasal congestion, after just 24 hours (10).

I'm really curious what happens in 2 months if this remains and we do have 20% unemployment...most people can't cover a $400 emergency right? At some point in the future, there is going to be a revolt and people are going to say eff it and ignore orders. A $1,000 check is a band aid right now...people are prob going to blow that anyways before they lose their jobs
