Who in this thread would accept not leaving their house / condo / whatever for 2 months except for critical travel to avoid this blowing up? I know it's hard...but please spread the word. At least we have technology.

Uh I need to work. So unless there is some kind of solution with either supplemental money or rent and bills are covered for the next two months, that ain't happening.

And if they will come out with such a solution, the important thing is to implement in time it to prevent people from losing their jobs.

i have a plane flt that is currently 1/3 full. i think most people are practicing caution and the result is they are self-policing. my main concern is the line for security. i wish or hope that they practice some judicious spacing between each person.

i am asian born in the good ole USofA and when i have passed some people on the sidewalk they hold their breath. LMAO i only wish they'd shy from me too and give me some space...and btw, F' them and their prejudice

This doordash driver is going to be standing next to a lot of people and probably coming into contact with a lot of people. Restaurant, house, restaurant, apartment, etc.

Much safer to go through drive thru if the company is practicing good sanitation which is probably pretty difficult in a restaurant. They should have gloves on (those clear plastic ones) and need to not sneeze or cough....but you have those same risks with delivery but have a driver who is around a lot of people, along with the restaurant staff around a lot of people.

Considering that we have seen what has happened in Wahun, Italy, Spain, it's unbelievable how slow we are reacting. Acting a week prior might save you months in the end.

I can't remember but was the response by the government this slow during the financial crisis.

Drive thru is also a fantastic option as you said. DoorDash will also deliver food and leave it outside (take a picture) advising you when it's ready.

The best situation moving foward maybe to do what Britian is doing instead of putting all the effort into preventing the unpreventable as it relates to the Chinese Coronavirus instead protect the most vulnerable and for the rest allow it to move throughout the population and build up some immunity.

Britain completely changed course on that once they figured out that their hospitals would be overwhelmed and hundreds of thousands would die. We also don't even know at this point if long term immunity exists for people who have recovered.
