But before that Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, James Jones and Jermichael Finley were all drafted in that range too. Jury is still out on Jace but besides Ty and Dick Rod, we’ve hit on just about everyone else. And Dick Rod still caught the Mo Town Miracle and was a dependable target. He was just slow, unathletic and should’ve gained more weight when he was younger and played OL. Despite missing on prospects the draft philosophy itself is something I still trust to fill holes where needed.

And we sure missed on the 3 WRs we drafted a few years ago. EQ got hurt, MVS stunk in year 2 and Moore isn’t even on the roster now. And Lazard the UDRFA no one knew about seems to be the best of the bunch now. I wouldn’t get to hung up on draft misses. It’s a crapshoot and happens to everyone, not everyone picks a winner every time. GBP has been successful as a whole especially pumping out pass catchers IMO.

Yea I'm not really judging on our hits/misses. Just that we should look hard at 1-2 WRs in the draft. And at least 1 in 1st or 2nd round. More than likely 2nd round. Definitely need something on D early.

He doesn’t bring any value as a blitzer, but Josh Bynes has proven to be a run-stuffer in his career. In all but one of his eight seasons, Bynes produced a run-defense grade above 70.0 and has produced run-defense grades above 79.9 in each of the last three years. Bynes was rather poor in coverage but has taken steps towards improvement late in his career. Over the last two seasons, he's had two of his highest coverage grades in his career — in 2019 he was the 12th best linebacker in coverage.

Likely salary cap related. I think Casey has 3 more years on his deal.

A lot of holes to fill with the draft.
TE- Not a deep or good class. Counting on Jace to make a big leap.
WR- fully expect a high draft pick. If not Lazard is #2
DE- Slow moving Northwestern guys on the roster. Really need to upgrade here.
ILB - Picked up a guy that was decent 3 years ago. Definitely need help here also.

Looks to me like we need 4 players to contribute from the draft. Has that ever happened?

Well, it's hard to know every player when there are more than 30 teams and all the teams have more than 50 roster players, right? And I am not even counting the players that just retired or are about to be drafted.
