Re: The Washington Redskins Thread
I think you take chance young or trade back. You have two starting QB on the team any way. Go out get another vet and or draft a later round rookie for insurance I don't mind trading back at all red skins need CB and some other things way more than young obviously you take him he's the best football player at that spot but if you can get value trade back!

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Re: The Washington Redskins Thread
Sounds reasonable. This is one of the rare cases where the Skins had enough depth so they let someone else overpay. Now, hopefully someone develops like Martin did to fill that 3rd guard hole. So now we have even more money to spend. One position I don't mind if they over-spend on is TE.
Edit - Of course, right after I said that last part, Cleveland signed the top free agent TE - Austin Hooper. Looks like slim pickings after him. Otoh, this could set up a trade that makes sense. It makes Brown's TE David Njoku more available. He was their 2017 1st rounder and has been a disappointment and is not expected to be kept after his 4th season. But there's no doubt about his talent, and the Skins should be a developing team and have basically nothing at TE. And Cleveland is one of the teams supposedly interested in Trent Williams. So...

Sounds like the Skins might have over-spent a bit, but glad to have Fuller back, and glad to get a versatile O-lineman - Schweitzer probably doesn't start over Martin and may be more of a center than a guard. Both Fuller and Schweitzer stand out as smart players but not great athletes.

I'm not crazy about signing a 37 year old - when we should be a rebuilding team, but we need to build up to the point where we're not a joke and free agents want to come here. Unfortunately, we need him.

37 is old enough that it works on a rebuild. you don't want any prime players on a rebuild, but old guys with 1-2 good years left in them are fine.

I imagine he's going to be the stop gap at ILB in the 4-3, doesn't really have the wheels to play outside any more against today's TEs.
He's got the instincts, power, durability and experience to be a force in the middle though, I could see him playing well for this team.

At MD, he started out as a CB, but he was a big hitter and got burned deep a lot, so they wisely moved him to safety. He's a real physical specimen - like Dunbar. He definitely beats out Nocholson if he's 100%. He's exactly the type of player the Skins should be going after - wish they got him on a multi-year contract, but he probably insisted on the make good deal, so he could have a shot at a big contract next year.

He's an ok 3rd down back. They might like him because he has experience lining up as the slot receiver - so he adds some versatility - though he's only a 4.55 40 guy - more quick than fast. And has a rep for being a good special teams player - though not as a return guy.

Any chance we try to retread Todd Gurley or Davonte Freeman?

I’d prefer Gurley to Peterson. But AP is already signed.
