Lee Wetzler, an infectious diseases specialist at Boston Medical Center, said the hospital is giving chloroquine to all confirmed and suspected coronavirus patients — with the hope that the drug will help increase survival rates.
'It seems to stem some of the inflammation, and also seems to decrease viral shedding,' Wetzler said. 'Viral shedding is part of the virus’ process of reproduction.'"

Let's see how those people are feeling after several days, a full week, maybe up to 2 full weeks? If chorloquine kills the virus quicker than we'll have proof on chorloquine.

The drug has been around nearly 100 years, they know what the side effects are, a lot of people are saying Hydroxychloroquine is better and has less side effects.
My dad used it for malaria in Vietnam.

So it's safe and proven to say now that Hydroxychloroquine, chloroquine, malaria, vitamin c, vitamin d and zinc are the 5 things we can take to kill this virus without waiting for a vaccine next year? If these 5 things truly really work, we should see these confirmed cases going to recovered and the peak would be over.

There are now 17,000 confirmed cases of the virus in the U.S. and 7,000 of them are in New York, which has roughly 5x as many cases as any other state (incl. CA and WA). I'm telling you, the virus is not going to be contained in New York. Social distancing is a pipe dream in that environment.

This combined with wide open borders, and VERY late to close down travel/isolate due to fear of racism accusations has made Italy's situation 10x worse. Yesterday article came out admitting they didn't react quickly enough because they didn't want to be seen as racist.

Source?
My bad. It was a leading Virologist, that previously had a government position, not an official declaration by the government. CNN interview included in article.

https://voiceofeurope.com/2020/03/italy-virologist-says-fears-of-racism-slowed-italys-coronavirus-response-florence-mayor-urged-italians-to-hug-a-chinese/

An Italian virologist has said that fears of being accused of racism slowed the Italian government’s initial response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic.

Dr. Giorgio Palù is a Professor of Virology and Microbiology at the University of Padova, and he was formerly the President of the European and Italian Society for Virology. In an interview with CNN, he said that the reason the disease has struck Italy so fiercely is because the government delayed imposing travel restrictions on people coming from China until it was too late. He said the country’s response was “lazy in the beginning” because of “too much politics.”

“There was a proposal to isolate people coming from the epicenter, coming from China,” Palù told CNN. “Then it became seen as racist, but they were people coming from the outbreak.”

Agreed which is why I said he didn’t have to lie to sensationalize it. It’s terrible enough without the lie.

Can someone explain what their justification is for excluding the low income people? Don't tell me burns like "hate poor people". I mean what is the logic or justification they're trying to play? I can't come up with one. Best I can think is something like since they don't pay taxes they don't get relief? Kinda like how you can't give a tax cut to people who don't pay taxes. I can't come up with anything else.

Those people are probably already on some form of government assistance and maybe the repubs are thinking they will continue to get that assistance with no change in their lives like losing a job. This stimilus is supposed to help those that lose their jobs and keep them afloat.

This is just my assumption.
I'm working with my firm to assist small businesses apply for the stimulus assistance. If you're interested please pm.
We are also offering a cashflow bootcamp for small businesses (https://www.aprio.com/whatsnext/covid-19-cash-flow-bootcamp/ ).

- 22% of people tested in NY tested positive.
- 9.3% of people tested in CA tested positive.
- 6.6% of people tested in WA tested positive.

It's not just that there are more tests taking place in NY, there is a higher rate of infection as well--perhaps more than twice the rate of infection.

CA is doing 1/3rd the tests, with 2x the population, they simply don't have the tests to draw any comparisons.
