Firstly, Korea had its outbreak over a month before the US, so you can't compare the results yet. Will there be a second wave in Korea when everyone goes back into society? Also, you quoted me.. I never engaged with you. So stop being disingenuous.Well maybe not disbanding a team of experts designed specifically for this situation. This is the exact reason South Korea has been so successful in halting the spread.
Is Fauci not an expert? Resources were made rapidly available, you can bring in experts whenever the crisis happens. Again, nothing is unique to the USA that isn't happening around the rest of the world. Everyone is screwed!I am not here to discuss the public opinion on Trudeau vs Trump; it is a waste of my time and something I have no interest in spending time in on a beautiful Saturday morning.
There is hard evidence that suggests others could have mitigated this further. Saying otherwise is turning a blind eye to the truth.

Oh ok. You just want to debate South Korea vs. USA on this beautiful Saturday morning because it fits your political narrative.
South Korea and the US confirmed their first cases of Covid on the same day.
That just means that Korea was slower to testing the first case than the States. Korea's outbreak was well before the USAs. Stop trying to be a smart ass. The data isn't comparable yet.

It's not that they didn't screw the pooch. They clearly have made major mistakes. But the disproportionate hate towards Trump is unfair in my opinion.
Definitely didn't handle it well initially. Has since seem to have woken up about it like most of America who thought it was the flu. There's a portion of people who don't care though right or wrong what he does, it'll be vilified. Some stuff deserves it of course but like... Biden saying it's just racism to shut down the borders trying to contain this virus.
Spoiler:
I don't think Biden should be criticized or anything since no one really knew wtf was going on and he's not really all that coherent as it is. But people will be critical of every move because Trump is Trump.

The hell you talking about? The other answer, which you apparently can’t wrap your head around, is that the US was incredibly slow to roll out widespread testing, so didn’t pick up the actual outbreak that has been occurring for a long time. Which is the actual correct answer.

For gloves I got these, but wow, they were only like $14 for 100 when I got them...looks like they more than doubled. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GS8W3T4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
Those are strictly one-day use only. Remember those all too well during the HK SARS crisis. We were told to dispose of them every few hours, but we had lots of masks at the time. They used to get so smelly after only a few hours, which you will soon find out. Still maintain social distancing as they protect others from you (to some degree), as opposed to you being protected from others.
Yeah, I knew they were one day. I figured I would probably on wear if things got dire when I go to grocery store or something and take it off when I come out. So if I only wore it for a half hour, I didn't know if I could wear it a few more times and be ok. I currently have extremely limited contact with anyone..working from home 95% (and go into office when no one else is there) and just go to get groceries...it's just me and my dog here.
Weird story. I’ve been going to Ocean beach a bunch lately with my girlfriend and our dog. At Ocean Beach you can bring your dogs and there are literally hundreds of other dogs and people around. We would always would eat at this crowded restaurant packed with people and dogs for breakfast first. One time after breakfast and walking along the beach I got the worst diarrhea of my life. Was sick for a few days after. This was sometime in February. Anyways, we also have an elderly mastiff as well as our young bulldog and she couldn’t go with us. But soon after she starting coughing and hacking constantly. We took her to the vet at they did an exam and said probably congestive heart failure and offered about a $1000 in tests which we declined. She has just gotten to the point where she can’t climb up the stairs and now only gets up two to three times a day. She’s fading fast. She’s also constantly shivering. We are giving her medicine for the pain and cough which seems to help.
Is there any possibility that she has Covid?
The timing is really really suspicious to me.

The only thing that matters to Congress is the color green on both sides. The fact they are still in "discussions" is shameful. I wish we fired every damn one of them and put some community grassroots folks in to look out for people rather than their own pockets.

To be fair...Biden wrote an entire Op-ed in January about how Trump wasn't taking this seriously and warning of the danger. Trump still wasn't taking it seriously a month later.
This isn't because Biden is some kind of genius...it's because he listens to experts.

So what exactly could Trump have done to prevent this pandemic from becoming a problem in America? The same things are happening around the world. Canada is going to lockdown. Everything is closed. Canadian hospitals are not prepared for the tsunami of sick people that are coming. Yet Trudeau is praised for how he is handling this in the press, and Trump is ripped by all the same people who wanted to impeach him and wanted to pin Russian election interference on him. There is nothing to suggest that anyone else would have mitigated this any further. If 3 weeks ago, Trump had ordered Americans to stay in their homes, he would have been called an authoritarian dictator by the same people who called him racist for closing the border to China over a month ago.
Canada has tested roughly as many people as the US despite having 10% of the population
If your sick and looking like you have Corona virus you can get a test. You basically cant just go grab one for self reassurance if thats what peoole are so concerned about with the testing.
Or am i wrong and we have people showing symptoms and going to the hospital to be rejected for a test
Unfortunately you are wrong (at least for many areas). I know several people personally who are symptomatic and can not get tested. Even Doctors and nurses who are stuck in quarantine are having trouble getting tested in many places (and that's so they can come back to work!)
NY is basically the only place doing anything close to adequate testing

I agree with Dems we need increased unemployment for 6 months. The current $1800 max for California is a joke. That's about 60% of my bills. Also agree with Dems that disability should be increased $200 in this crises for those that can't even work.

This is incorrect. We knew of early outbreaks in cities like Seattle. If the outbreak was happening a month ago like it was in Korea, we would see the hospitals already overflown with patients, like you see in Italy.

Pretty sure most studies show that it doesn't pass from humans to dogs or vice versa ( I retract this looks like Hong Kong verified a case). https://www.oregonvma.org/care-health/zoonotic-diseases/coronavirus-faq
It also sounds like you should do the humane thing and put your dog down. I couldn't imagine seeing my Dakota suffering. It's a hard decision, but probably the best thing.

Dont know why youre finger pointing. Almost nobody wouldve listened to that kind of suggestion a month ago. If you tried to stay home from work, you'd probably be fired.
