It's a prescription drug. How are people stocking up without a prescription? Cuomo seems to think it's a good avenue to pursue since he just ordered a bunch of it for his state. Maybe that's why there's a shortage.

Doctors writing prescriptions for themselves and their friends/family. Doesn’t take much with an anti malarial drug to become scarce in the US. There aren’t large stocks to begin with.

This is America bro, for the right price there's a bunch of online prescription services that will have a physician in Florida write a prescription for you for literally anything.

Passing a bill that bails out companies without guaranteeing they don’t fire employees, or without expanding UI benefits, or gives the treasury secretary a half trillion dollar fund that doesn’t have to face accountability for 6 months, is ridiculous. A better bill is required, one that actually helps people. Donald Trump of all people has neither the ideas or policies to help people, or the credibility to get them to make a deal. This is not a both parties problem. What exactly do you think democrats should “sacrifice” here? Democrats capitulating to that trash bill just to get something passed isn’t going to help people.

Oddly enough, Bernie Sanders has a great set of ideas that would help a lot. Maybe Republican senators should listen to him.

I agree, universal healtcare is radical!!! It's not like no one else has done it. Oh wait....Canada, UK, France, and a bunch of other countries have universal type programs and they did it decades ago, maybe we are the radical one that stubbornly refuse to do what other countries figured out years ago works best.

Now here we are in pandemic, millions were already uninsured, millions more underinsured. We rely on employers for health insurance and vast swaths of people are losing their jobs or getting furloughed. But it's ok because we are not radical....

Not even taking about Medicare for all or whatever. Bernies immediate caronavirus response, specifically, is very good.

I don't want to make a political argument but Sanders has a 1 in 100 chance of winning the nomination. His response is not to drop out, but to have people risk being infected to go out and vote. Many seniors probably would never leave the house unless it was to vote.

He’s a senator with good and practical ideas to help during this crises. He isn’t going to win the democratic nomination and I don’t care about that and wasn’t commenting on that.

Wuhan denying virus tests to keep numbers down

Despite claims made by mainland authorities that there have been no new local infections of the coronavirus in Wuhan in the last few days, people there have told RTHK this is simply not the case.

They say patients are being turned away from hospitals without testing to back the official data, which one person described as a "not medical, but political treatment".

Wuhan authorities have already closed the 10 or so temporary hospitals that were set up after regular ones came inundated with patients. The temporary facilities were doing tests on people showing mild symptoms.

Officials say these tests are not needed as the number of new infections has fallen sharply.

Shame on anyone that believes the propaganda coming out of that country. I want to see them take action on cleaning up their absolutely filthy wet markets. That is where this virus started.

American Airlines Flight Attendants Risk Discipline For Wearing Protective Face Masks

Masks in-flight or in the terminal is not allowed. We are following CDC guidance: masks are not effective in preventing the spread of COVID-19 for the general public.

The airline policy is to not scare the customers. That's it.

Legit question here. Unless someone is showing symptoms or is in critical condition, what is the point of testing everyone for the virus? We are all on lockdown and are all told to stay home. What’s the point of testing someone who has no symptoms and is feeling completely normal. Even if they test positive , unless they’re really sick they’re only told to stay home and quarantine which is what everyone should be doing regardless
