I take 2 Tylenol every 6 hours. It offers only a little respite.

Did you try Dayquil Severe Cold/Flu? 1st week of February I caught a severe Chest infection where I couldn't breathe most of the time with massive cough while Dayquil Severe made me almost normal. Mucinex didn't do anything for me.

As has been said, the consensus from medical professionals is that mindset is incredibly dangerous, leading to more infections, and most likely will prolong the recovery.

Update: I felt like **** last night. It's crazy how whatever I have makes me think I'm getting better and then I can't sleep for over 2.5 hours without waking up drenched, weak. So I take a shower. I swear if I could never sleep again I'll be over it in a day. Nighttime sucks. The dry cough has turned somewhat flemmy. Fever was higher at one point last night than ever before. But even as it drops and my lung function improves somewhat...it just kinda is always there like "**** you". At first I tried to breathe in and that made me cough. Now I can breathe in more but I cough on the exhale at the end of the breathe. I cried today because I haven't touched my 6 month old daughter or wife in 3 days. It feels like solitary where you can watch your family but not touch them or be anywhere near them. And on the other end if I infect them with what I have it's going to be the worst time in my life ever. Way worse than my divorce was.

I am scared. Not like I'm going to die but this is the worse scenario I've found myself in, maybe ever.

And then I watch them say we will be open for business by Easter and I won't even be back at work by then. I don't want countless families to go through this. And we are begging for the worse case scenario with that.

I would still try the Tylenol Severe Cold and Flu if the Doc says it is ok, did wonders for me. Didn't make anything go away, but I felt much better.

+1 for both. I've used the cheaper alternative from Equate as well and haven't noticed any difference yet in terms of making me feel better when I'm not feeling well. I believe they all have the same active ingredients.

Your immune system is at its strongest fighting off disease/infections while you are sleeping, which is why you feel worse after waking up. Your body doing some real ish inside. But its a good thing even if it doesn't feel good. Get that rest.

Pepe, every day the news we get from your side of the border causes our country to mourn for yours. Stay strong there, stay in closed doors and by the end of the year we'll be back to crossing our borders freely and enjoy each other beaches, food, and culture. Can't wait to be back visiting Valencia (have some kind of fetish for it since I first visited it about 15 years ago. I absolutely love going by foot from la Seu hasta el paseo de arbotantes en la ciutat de les arts).

Right now 2 biggest sports arenas are filled with beds and medical equipment if massive outbreak happends. Hopefully won't be needed. We had nasty earthquacke in capital city , resulted in death of 15 years old kid and wracked hospital.

Out of nowhere ,we had snow for first time whole winter. We joke around that we wait every morning that Godzilla will attack us :lol:
