Very good read

Yes I seriously hope we stop this social distancing and return back to normal. At work since Sunday, they separated everyone on OUTBOUND into 3 different colors of Blue, Green and Yellow for different start of shift/ break times and end of shift. A normal work schedule for Inbound is 7 am to 5:30 pm and Outbound 7:30 am to 6pm. Since Sunday, Green color is the normal schedule with the normal breaks of 11 am to 11:30 and 3 to 3:30 pm. But they gave me Blue color which is basically 15 minutes before green with start of shift, separated by break times and end of shift. And yellow which is basically 15 minutes after green with start of shift, separated by break times and end of shift. So since Sunday I can't see certain people on breaks because i'm on blue color and they are on green or yellow. However almost the whole group I sit with normally, Most of us are actually on blue color but we are not all sitting close together at a table and it's so weird and breaking our group apart because they separated the tables and don't want anyone sitting closer than 6 feet to someone.
I wish they'd make social distancing optional until sinco de mayo, because I just like that day. All the ones that want to work and have social get togethers let them and the rest can stay home.

I can't believe there's living proof in this thread showing how serious this thing is yet some of us still want to make social distancing non-existent or optional because you can sit on a bench together at lunch or because you like Cinco de Mayo.

I've thought about that at times. At times I don't feel good, Than I feel best when I'm lying down or sleeping. I also think if someone is sick, Than we still need to get a workout in because if we have a virus and our body gets hot by exercising that the virus doesn't react well. No the virus does not make us worse, The virus gets upset and weakens, I believe when we exercise/ work out. Virus does not like hot temperatures with high humidity and high UV rays so I would think the virus inside our body does not like it when our body gets hot which is why I also think if we have a fever, don't reduce the fever with(tylenol, advil, aleve), let the hot body fight off the virus or whatever is in there. Last Wednesday March 18th I had a fever, I took nothing for the fever and the fever broke off in under 12 hours. I probably got over the fever quicker by not doing anything about it.

I was just mocking how silly it sounds to give a random day to stop social distancing.

It's dangerous to stop social distancing right now, but we're hearing an uprising of people saying to stop it. I say if they want to, let them, just stay away from people that want distance themselves.

It's just dangerous no matter what though. It's like the saying "you're only as strong as your weakest link". In a perfect world, if you could divide everybody going out and everybody staying home into two different areas and then tell them all to live with the results, that's fine.. but people going out into crowds or just not taking it seriously at all will affect people who are doing the correct thing which is being cautious and staying inside (to the extent that they can, if they work essential jobs), since most of the time these people live together or will come into contact with each other at some point.

The longer people take to get on board or the quicker this dumb rhetoric the president is spouting trying to get the "economy back on track" and having everything being open by Easter makes things more dangerous as a whole and just pushes the timeline back. Want to go back to relative normalcy as a society? Get the hard **** over with now (quarantining, being cautious, living differently temporarily), and we try to work our way back up as a society. Otherwise, this is going to last way longer than anybody wants and will cause irreparable damage even more so than it has already.

Update. Took the type. With codeine a d its way better than regular Tylenol. I went outside and watered my banana plant.

I feel semi ok but I'm still weak. It helps the cough a lot. It **** sucks to wake up and take 30 minutes to gather my breath. Breathe in 2 and pressure. Hold 2 through will power and cough by4 count out. It's miserable. I've contemplated going to the er about 3 times in 2 days. I hear the codeine will help me sleep better so I hope for that. I'm not coughing at all right now so that's like orgasmic.

I'm a news junkie but my wife won't let me watch the president's briefings anymore because they make me livid. I don't like Mitt Romney much but I just can't believe a sitting president is mocking someone who thought he cought this ****.

I have so many words about that....

At first I tried to breathe in and that made me cough. Now I can breathe in more but I cough on the exhale at the end of the breathe. I am scared. Not like I'm going to die but this is the worse scenario I've found myself in, maybe ever.

And then I watch them say we will be open for business by Easter and I won't even be back at work by then. I don't want countless families to go through this. And we are begging for the worse case scenario with that.

Hey man, Try to get some Vitamin D or C in you if you can digest it. Maybe some Orange Juice, oranges, pineapples, or blend up some smoothies with some spinach and berries to help your immune system. If you can find some black seed oil and add to your smoothies that helps with the immune system and can assist in fighting the flu, as well. Stay strong man

Hey dude! I can't really eat real food. The most I've done in days is cut fruit. But my dad went grocery shopping for me a couple days ago and I have lots of healthy stuff. Fresh oj, bolthouse farms blends, my wife makes smoothies for me. Oat milk, regular milk, chocolate almond milk. She made me jello today and she's about to make empanadas. I'm gonna try and eat one.

Check this out for social distancing. I found out today that the TN Valley Authority, a multiform energy company that provides power for a vast portion of the southeast, is going to be keeping employees for 60 days at a time. To reduce spread among their specifically trained employees, they are going to do 2 month rotations inside the mountain. They'll get time and half during the day, and double time at night. Its like being an astronaut, or missile silo operator. Now that kind of thing could make you go stir crazy.

So sorry to read this. I too think the nation should be shuttered. Our grandparents fought in WW2. We can come together and stay home for the next few months. It's not a huge ask if the government does their part correctly.

It's not about you, its about all of us.

It surprises me that these measures are only happening now. Maybe it's because Australians are much exposed and accustomed to FIFO work (fly in, fly out remote work) for mining and the like, but it doesn't seem like too much of an ask for places to quarantine their business and their willing employees and keep their operations happening in complete isolation from the outside world. Just to ensure things like power, water, etc don't go down.

For example, aged care facilities should have universally gone into modes like that to reduce traffic and spread from the outside world. If you have to, set up special meeting rooms for family and friends divided by a clear plastic sheet so people can still stay in communication, just not touching common property.

I work in a post tramautic brain and spine injury facility. They instituted checks but they weren't good enough. I've had plenty of time to find the holds in that policy at my work.

The people who take our temp in the morning get paid 12 dollars an hour. That's the damn line in the sand. CNAs. The problem is our system. We pay people as little as possible in this country. So my facility has some extremely daft and dumb CNAs. My mom said a while back only RNs could do the work. I would expect much more from a team of RNs than....

Poorly using laser thermometers. Having me fill out my own info every morning, and then I sat the pen down. The sanitizer is after the check point. So we all used the same 3 pens. They all took the mask rule very liberally. They talked out loud about how the cure would have a mind control device. These are not Trump supporters. They are mostly from the black community. So we have ignorance of all colors and creeds that are infecting people.

That's a nice unemployment package going through congress. They're going to give the regular unemployment plus 600 per week for 4 months. This includes for gig workers.

A lot of people will make more not to work.

Seeing how quickly Congress operates...maybe the end justifies the means.

It's not like people that poor are going to sit on that money or invest it. They'll spend it. Isn't that the whole point?

I'm not sure if they are only happening now, I didn't ask, but I only found out today. Hopefully protocols kicked in earlier. I know our Navy has stayed out to sea in some cases, and I'm sure other measures are in similar effect. That's why I wish our military personnel were controlling and planning this thing. Generals don't take a dump without a plan, yes that was a take from Hunt for Red October. Meanwhile, we thought we got our second case in our county. It turns out it was a dubious claim, and our numbers were cut in half with that false report. That's why there needs to be thresholds for certain levels of actions as well, got to time the wave properly. Clamping down too tight too soon can cause issues as well. The real issue is when the state and local conflict, like Mississippi and Florida. City and state are at odds in some cases.
