A DL
Gonna be a lot of disappointed fans clamoring for a WR at 30

I would love another big talented DT to line up next to Clark and potentially be a backup plan in case we can't afford him.

I also wouldn't hate olineman, pass rush....etc. We are at a point where you draft your best chance at the best player no matter which position besides k/p/and some might say DB (I wouldn't).

id like to trade back and get more picks in that top 3 to 4 range and then use your 3 6th or 5th in some combo to move up in those top 3 to 4 rounds....Watching the DL from Oklahoma Gallimore film. would love to get a guy like him on our d line

PFF's latest mock.

30. GREEN BAY PACKERS — WR DENZEL MIMS, BAYLOR
Green Bay hit tackle and linebacker in free agency, leaving the receiver position as the only real hole unaddressed heading into the draft. That was a calculated decision, as it looks like a massive upgrade will be waiting for them at pick No. 30. Mims has proven to be one of the most explosive route-runners in the pre-draft process after being a fade specialist at Baylor.

Fade specialist makes him sound like Plaxico Burress but Mims speed makes him more like a DK Metcalf without the scary neck injury concerns.

Watched some more Tee Higgins, he’s just really not that impressive and the AJ Green comparison is a total joke to me. Maybe I’m wrong but Higgins shows zero ability to separate from even college defenders so I don’t see how that translates to the pros. He’s a high point jump ball specialist because he’s huge at 6’4” but the poor combine numbers really show on his tape.

I like his size and everything but Lamb, Jeudy , Ruggs, Mims, Reagor, Aiyuk and Shenault are all at least a full tier above him. KJ Hamler I have over Higgins too, but that’s because we need a blazer, not another Devin Funchess or Allen Lazard. I could see other teams with speed valuing Higgins over Hamler but not the rest of the guys. They’re more complete than Higgins. Not to mention he had the best QB in football throwing him the ball. I’m a huge TL fan....

Do not want at 30. 60? maybe.

MVS was supposed to be the tall speedster, correct? IF (a very big IF) they think he makes progress in year three, does Gute & Co. value someone to fill the slot role more?

I’d rather double dip with a combo of Jefferson/Mims/Aiyuk and Reagor/Hamler. I honestly have little to no interest in Higgins at this point. And I forgot about Jefferson in my original post, he’s on the tier fully above Higgins too.

Would even go as far as to say I’d rather double dip with a speedster WR and Cole Kmet.

Maybe I’d feel differently about Higgins if we lacked what his strengths are but as far as some game breaker, he is not.

Jefferson n mims would be absolutely crazy. Doubt very highly mims is there at 60 but any combo with either jefderson or mims 1st would be A+ in my book

Friend of mine does part time scouting for some local draft guides, he absolutely loves Jefferson, thinks he is going be a beast in the NFL. I don't see it, but this guy watches full game(s) films of the guys he does scouting reviews of, and he just loves him.

Adding Mims (4.39) and Hamler (low 4.3s I believe) would be insane. Then nab Albert Okwuegbunam (6-6 255, ran a 4.49)...my goodness, I am drooling just thinking about adding so much speed to the offense

Interesting article about run stuffers, in short, don't pay them, draft these guys instead

The lesson is a simple one: Don’t overpay for run-stopping interior defensive linemen. Instead, find them in the middle rounds of the draft at a much cheaper price.

Here are three candidates to keep an eye on in this year’s draft.

RAEKWON DAVIS, ALABAMA
Davis has the size and strength of a first-rounder, and there was a point in his career in which he was projected to be drafted that high. However, he never improved as a pass-rusher, grading at 71.1 in that department last season. Davis has performed well in the run game, and he has the skills to two-gap up front and beat up blockers. He posted three straight years of run-defense grades between 87.9 and 90.4, and he’s a prime candidate to provide similar production at the next level with the skillset to line up all over the defensive line.

JOHN PENISINI, UTAH
Penisini has a classic nose tackle look with his squatty 318-pound build. He plays low, is difficult to move and explodes into blockers — all leading to a 90.6 run-defense grade last season. He has only 51 career pressures on 697 rushes, so it’s unlikely that he’ll be rushing the passer at a high level in the NFL, but he’s a perfect mid-round run-stopper.

DAVON HAMILTON, OHIO STATE
Another player who can line up all over the defensive front, Hamilton did his best work in 2018 when he finished with a 90.1 run-defense grade. His pass-rush production underwhelmed, but he’s powerful at the point of attack and capable of disrupting blocking schemes. Hamilton could do a better job of finishing plays, but he fits the mold of a capable, mid-round run stopper.

PFF Analytics Mock Draft

Here’s a recap of the methodology: We’re not trying to predict what will actually happen. Rather, these are the picks we would make if we were in charge of each team. We have two primary concerns when making each pick:

1. Positional value – Our goal isn’t to pick the eventual rookie of the year, it’s to win a Super Bowl. Saquon Barkley is awesome at his job, but his job doesn’t contribute to winning nearly as much as that of his quarterback. Players who impact the passing game have the most value, and that is reflected here.

2. Our college-to-pro projections – We take into account how each player grades in different situations in college and train algorithms to project performance into a set of NFL situations. We also take into account the prospect's athletic profile with respect to each facet of play. Here is a more in-depth look at these projections for stud playmaker Isaiah Simmons from Clemson, for example.

We also give consideration to team needs when there is a close call between two equally valuable picks. However, football is a war of attrition, so need is abundant for most teams. Prepare your trigger fingers. Let’s mock.

30. GREEN BAY PACKERS – JEDRICK WILLS OT BAMA
EE: With Bryan Bulaga gone to Los Angeles, the Packers go with a tackle in the first round of the draft, forgoing the option to trade up and get one of the blue-chip receivers that could probably help their offense more. Wills is a good prospect, with Trent Williams and Nate Solder as statistical comparisons for his first five years.

WR off the board;
Ruggs 4
Jeudy 6
Lamb 11
Reagor 13
Shenault 15
Jefferson 19
Mims 21
Higgins 22
Claypool 24

This would be fairly brutal to see this much WR talent go before us.

That would be brutal. I wouldn't like that outcome. Still, that would lead to other talent falling. LB's, OL, even one of the primo QB's.

It wouldn't ever happen, but iI'd love for Isaiah Simmons to drop to where the Packers could pick him
