LMAO that's the spirit! I'm pleasantly surprised to hear you've not totally given up on DJ. I'm willing to place a friendly wager he'll reward your patience next season. Beli, well, he wasn't getting hardly any minutes when healthy, but still, good off ball, good for the occasional 3 and fouls - we actually used Q for that in a game Beli missed. Wait Beli's in the game just now hahaha!

Well I get your point about no-man's land. Enough players have hinted at everyone being on the same page on D this season that it's clear who stands out. So it's definitely something we'll have to address this summer (with better results than last summer).

Also, they just said on the broadcast of tonight's game that if Spurs and DD can't come to a contract agreement he'll opt out and become a FA. If we can get some kind of S&T asset(s) back for him then that's ideal. But even if not, so be it. We have enough guards who have learned what they have from him and can take the space to grow. Onwards!

The first Spurs game to be affected was slated for Friday against Denver at the AT&T Center. A practice session scheduled for Thursday morning was also scuttled.

Buford: Spurs support NBA decision to suspend season

In the first public statement issued by the Spurs since the NBA announced Wednesday night it was indefinitely suspending the 2019-20 season as a safeguard against the coronavirus, chief executive officer R.C. Buford made it clear the franchise was on board with the decision.

“The health and well-being of our fans, partners, staff, and players will always be our number one priority,” Buford said. “All of us at Spurs Sports & Entertainment fully support the NBA’s decision to suspend the season.”

“We remain in constant contact with a wide range of local and national experts and will continue to make informed decisions based on their research, data, and input,” he said. “Because this is a situation that changes hour-by-hour we don’t have a lot of answers at this point. We will continue to share information as it becomes available.

“We thank our entire Spurs Family for your continued support, patience, and understanding during this time.”

After the league suspended play, the Spur cancelled their Thursday morning practice.
