This offseason, I hope they get 1-2 of those guys, in order:
  • Kris Dunn
  • Thybulle (hard)
  • DiVincenzo (hard)
  • Bruce Brown

I think the team is going to push for Dunn this offseason. Obviously, his shooting is a concern and they will have to figure out if they can "fix" it. But he could be available. Bulls just drafted a scoring PG and they need to pay Dunn. Doubt that's going to happen with the season they have.

Why not Crowder?

Crowder works too. Still sad we traded him to begin with. And Carlisle playing Parsons over him.

Yeah, and it sucks that they took Bernard James and Jared Cunningham that year. My friends really wanted Draymond Green in the 2nd.

let say Hardaway opts out, would you rather re-sign Hardaway or sign UFA such as Van Vleet with the available cap room? To me, it's still FVV. Coz 3D players are available in draft or draftday trade. Even undrafted players can take the role.

Powell has negative value right now since he had a major injury. I doubt anyone will take him until at least next offseason, assuming he comes back healthy.

ATL won’t trade away Reddish for that kind of package

Any trade offer right now involving Powell will be an automatic no from the opponent team, unless an equally bad contract in return

Or we include youth and draft picks.
People need to stop including Powell in any deals unless the primary purpose of the trade is to dump him.

Regarding youth, we just have Brunson who may worth a non-lottery first round pick, together with the 20th and 31st pick for the coming draft, what else we can offer? And IMO, they can be used for roster update, but definitely can't meet the requirement of BOTH roster update AND dump Powell's contract

Celtics fan coming in peace:

Is Justin Jackson in the Mav's future plans or is available for trade ? I've followed his since his Tar Heel days at NC, and was just wondering what a trade to Boston would look like. Would something like this work ?

Vincent Poirier and the 2020 Celtic's 1st round pick
for
Jackson

I think Mavs would and should make that trade.

Jackson has some nice crafty skills but has fallen out of the rotation for some reason. His game reminds me a bit of a Antawn Jamison but on a lesser scale and perhaps he isn't a good fit in RC's flow system.

Personally I love Nesmith in the draft as a fit for the Mavs and he could very well be available in the mid-20s. Mavs could also possibly package 21, 26 and 31 to either move into the lotto for a player they like or trade those picks for a young promising player that might fit as a legit 3rd option.
I like it for the Mavs to give them more options.

I don't know enough about the Celts situation to say whether JJ makes sense for them but I do think he would be a nice addition to a team that has a set SL and just needs a nice backup SF to spell a star player like Tatum, Hayward and/or Brown.

Id roll the dice on a Dwight Powell for Al Farouq Aminu trade. Both have had season ending injuries.

Mavs would take this offer and run, but in real life, Jackson will never worth a first round pick in return

Powell, Jackson, Brunson and one of the draftees from draft night to Denver for Barton and Diop in case Hardaway opts out from contract. The Mavs make a run at Van Vleet instead.

C - KP / Kleber / Boban
PF - DFS / Broekhoff at min? / combo forward draftee who complements KP and Doncic well
SF - Doncic / Diop
SG - Barton / Wright
PG - FVV / Curry / Barea at min?
