We don't know for sure if chloroquine, hydrochloroquine or any medications are proven yet. So it seems right now the best way to treat the coronavirus patients that tested positive is get blood from someone that has recovered from the coronavirus. I have always hated getting needles so even if I had the coronavirus, I don't think I want a needle again.

no, my bad I guess that came off as confusing. I was referring to Italy and France as morons.
Well in their defense; testing on dead bodies found that way is probably not a high priority.
That being said - it's probably safe to assume the vast majority are COVID-19 related.
right, and if they had reported there's a better chance we would've taken it more seriously at an earlier stage. Italy had a responsibility to the rest of the world to fully warn us and they screwed that up. At least they didn't screw it up on purpose like some other country to the east who will remain nameless.

So keep your eye on that model, I think. It changes (adjusts with new data) every day, I'm pretty sure.
I thought he said that the peak is in 2 weeks for the confirmed cases also. That website doesn't show a chart for the confirmed cases but I'll assume around April 15 is the peak for the confirmed cases.

The warning from Italy was clear - we chose to ignore it until it was too late (and we weren't the only ones...although I fear our reaction will end up being the most disastrous)

Spamming and cutting/pasting same message over and over doesn't work here. It needs a higher degree of creativity than twitter/facebook to make a meaningful post/topic in realgm. That's why you don't see much bots here

Lol Canada is no better, Im currently a student taking my clinical classes in the basement of a long term continuing care facility. Classes are still going on, despite the government insisting on all students staying home. My program has decided we are safe, despite students having to take public transport. Funny thing is, they tell us to self isolate for 2 weeks if we have any symptoms, but we would fail the program if we miss more than 5 days. Guess how many students are going to self isolate if they feel sick...

North Carolina came out of nowhere is now #3 US state with the most confirmed cases at 11,167. Looking at the (trends) chart on bing.com/ covid, it's showing North Carolina has 935 confirmed cases today March 29th and so somehow North Carolina jumped from 935 confirmed cases to 11,167 in the same day. This is an either an error or just a big step in testing/ pending test results came back. As it still stands right now, North carolina is #3 with 11,167 confirmed cases.

I think it's an error.
Worldometers shows 1124 total cases and covidtracking shows 1040. I live in NC and have heard nothing about a huge jump

Wow, if that's correct expect a similar spike in numbers around the country as testing [finally] ramps up.
EDIT: NM, may be an error.

CNN is slow to update their numbers, CNN TV channel shows 139,000+ US confirmed cases and bing.com/covid is showing 142,402 confirmed cases.

Yo report whatever school this is to the new tip line that's a clear violation of the emergency orders that Ford put into place. Schools got closed down a while ago now.

I have been wondering what our all-cause mortality rate has been compared to other years. Interesting if true...

Credit Sam Vecenie but all schools who play Liberty in any college athletics should say they won't play until a COVID vaccine is made and readily available.

Could be as simple as removing the vast majority of vehicle deaths in the past 2 weeks since the country's been shut down. I'd wager even homicides are down right now

Yeah, it's an error. Bing is showing around 1040 if you add up the confirmed cases for each county in North Carolina.LKN wrote:nymets1 wrote:North Carolina came out of nowhere is now #3 US state with the most confirmed cases at 11,167. Its in Alberta, we have Provincial and local emergencies declared but I guess Advanced Education and Alberta Health decided that our program is safe to continue. Im training to work as a lab technologist so they told us we know how to keep ourselves safe lol. Not sure how I can protect myself from a virus that's being transmitted in the community unknowingly. Myself and most of the students travel through public transport, to top it off, the site Im training in currently, crams about 10 students in a tiny lunchroom for our break inside of a long term care facility... so much for social distancing.
I live with my parents, both of them are older and have health issues, if I get it and bring it home, I'm super scared they are going to have a hard time fighting it. Its mind boggling how they are letting us continue, we are not essential workers, we're students and many of us want the program to shut down for a few weeks till things get better, but at this point im pretty sure it won't.
