Still no test results. Hopefully today, I'll get my flu test back.

I'm glad I am getting lent pto. I probably won't be back to work for about 3 weeks more seeing how slow this testing goes.

It's been a weird day to say the least. I'm OK one minute and the next I'm exhausted. Headache still there, still having stomach discomfort, not hungry at all, there is a dry cough but it's not constant, red bloodshot eyes, low grade fever, slight body aches. Tbh I'm glad the symptoms have been mild bc I know others are feeling miserable, that is if in fact I have it but everything points to it. A coworker tested positive so that's probably where I got it.

Where you at gomagic?

Hopefully they process your test. I've heard some saying the CDC ended up not processing tests, because they didn't meet the criteria they set.

Finally made it back home to Orlando. I live across street from Lake Baldwin. First thing I noticed was the mass of people walking the path around the lake. Busiest I ever saw it. There must have been hundreds if not a thousand walking that 2 mile trek. Had to be a person every 10 feet. In North Carolina, hardly anybody was outside. I thought Orange County was on lockdown?

Glad to hear, I was told at the clinic testing is taking about two weeks. Sucks tbh, thankfully work gave us 3 weeks covid related paid time off. Weird your flu test is taking so long, I was told within 15 minutes.

I was told 4-5 business days on covid. The next night on the other tests. That was last Tuesday.
The problem with 2 week tests is that means a minimum of a month out of work. How can I get a test to prove I'm no longer sick if my covid test doesn't come in until mid next week?

If the test comes back positive you will have already quarantined the 2 weeks so you could go back to work. You won't need to stay an additional 2 weeks out. I was told the covid test should take 72 hours but bc they're backed up it will be about two weeks.

In NY I think I heard Cuomo say, if you have 72 straight hours after the 14 day quarantine without any symptoms, you were considered clear.

In the state of Florida it will probably be different.

Last night's numbers as of 9pm from bing.com/covid

USA-142,152 confirmed cases- 4435 Recoveries- Recoveries went from 3231 to 4435
Florida- 4950 confirmed cases- Still have 0 Recoveries
Seminole county- 81 confirmed cases, Orange county- 268 confirmed cases

California- 4643 confirmed cases( Same number but there's a lot of pending cases)
Georgia- 2683 confirmed cases
Illinois- 4956 confirmed cases
Louisana- 3540 confirmed cases
Massachussets- 4955 confirmed cases
Michigan-5486 confirmed cases
New jersey- 13,386 confirmed cases
Pennsylvania- 3394 confirmed cases
Texas- 2552 confirmed cases
Washington- 4310 confirmed cases
New York- 59,513 confirmed cases

China- 75, 448 recoveries, 2691 active cases
South Korea- 5033 recoveries but still 4398 active cases
Italy- 97,689 confirmed cases ( 13,030 recoveries but still 73,880 active cases)
Spain- 80,100 confirmed cases( 14,709 recoveries but still 58,588 active cases)

Today's number's as of 9pm from bing.com/covid

USA-163,479 confirmed cases- 5604 recoveries- Recoveries went from 4435 to 5604
Florida- 5704 confirmed cases- Still have 0 recoveries, CMON FLORIDA
Seminole county- 88 confirmed cases, orange county- 300 confirmed cases

California- 6388 confirmed cases- A big surge from them as they had a lot of pending results
Georgia- 3082 confirmed cases
Illinois- 5057 confirmed cases
Louisana- 4025 confirmed cases
Massachussets- 5752 confirmed cases
Michigan- 6498 confirmed cases
New jersey- 16,636 confirmed cases
Pennsylvania- 4087 confirmed cases
Texas- 2877 confirmed cases
Washington- 5298 confirmed cases
New York- 66,497 confirmed cases

China- same numbers as last night
South Korea- 5288 recoveries but still 4275 active cases
Italy- 101,739 confirmed cases( 14,620 recoveries but still 75,528 active cases)
Spain- 87,956 confirmed cases( 16,780 recoveries but still 63,460 active cases)

So I noticed with Georgia, Illinois, Louisana, New Jersey, Texas there are small increases in their confirmed cases around 400 each per state while the other top states are still increasing around 1000 new confirmed cases per day. So lets keep an eye on Georgia, Illinois, Louisana, New Jersey and Texas over the next few days if maybe those states have reached a peak and their confirmed cases per day maybe continue to drop or if any of these states shoot up in confirmed cases the next day.

California,Florida, Illinois, Mass, Michigan, Penn, Washington and New York keep surging every single day so for now maybe perhaps Georgia, Illinois, Louisana, New jersey and Texas are getting their confirmed cases to come down?

Going into April, we are now being groomed that a death rate of 100K to 200K is expected and somehow a success, because its not 2 Million? I never thought we would be in this place, especially this soon. Okay, now I'm starting to get stressed.

Relax, everything is under control by the smart men in the rooms with all the control. Or that's what I thought. This whole thing makes me think American exceptionalism is a joke.

The peak could be in two weeks in NY and mid May in Florida.

Just last week they were grooming the country to sacrifice themselves and grandparents for the stock market so I guess its not unexpected, and it only took them about 2 weeks of them taking this serious to get there. But this is something we cannot accept and push aside like its par for the course. Just goes to show what they deem important.

So true, the way that representative from Texas put it was ignorant at best. I have been thinking about this for quite some time now however. I found out soon after my post about being shut down that it was about non-emergency procedures to limit the use of PPE, and not non-emergency practitioners. So, I've been open, seeing one person at a time. I've limited contact between patients entirely. After each patient, I thoroughly scrub every surface they use with disinfectant. And, that's after they go through a pre-screening of temperature, and questioning if they have traveled in the last two weeks or have contact with anyone with symptoms. I won't see those people for two weeks now. I believe if we all were that vigilant, other businesses can continue to operate. Obviously not gyms, bars, and other large gathering of people. I'd like to see more planning and a methodical approach to this thing. I don't know, but we are going to need to make more changes going forward.

https://covid19.healthdata.org/

This site shows all the updated models that Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx have been using to make their predictions. As of Sunday night, the projections were 100k-200k deaths by July. Today the range is now about 36k to 150k deaths by August 1st, median range around 84K. Still a grim outlook, but as we get more data, it is showing that the social distancing is working. We can prevent a lot of this and change this outcome as much as we can if we all do our part to hunker down.

This is a pretty good site to see where we're at by state. Florida's cases are rising, but their peak won't hit until around early May. New York is about to peak in 8-9 days. They should recover quicker than other states, but their hospitals are taking a beating right now.
