Oh, maybe I'll check that out. Running out.

Just finished all 7 seasons of Madmen in 10 days. I've only watched like 7 episodes of Breaking Bad spread out and the finale, so watching all 5 seasons now, which should be done in 7 days.

Trust me, it’s amazing. Just keep watching til mid season, you won’t regret it.

How’s madmen? In regards to long term story telling ?

It starts out like Wolf of Wallstreet in the office during the 60s. Smoking, drinking and adultery. It's cool to see them come up with jingles. Best thing is it covers all of the major events of the 60s. It's all pretty much all long term story of the advertising firm, with the each episode dealing with a client, but it's more about the character developement, though near the end I started to not care about the characters as much, so I can kind of tell why it stopped. Joan is hot asf.

I recommend Suits. So cool for a movie to deal with all kinds of corporate law. Donna is awesome and hot too.

I don't watch many TV shows nor am I a TV advy, but Better Call Saul is one of the greatest shows I've ever seen. Middle finger to CAD Netflix for not posting season 5, ridiculous.

Mad Men is arguably the best written TV show of all time. Unlike its GOAT drama contemporaries, namely Breaking Bad, The Wire, and The Sopranos, it's not reliant on violence and deaths to move it forward (and it's not like those things is what those shows are all about, but it helps a lot in generating their tension and plotting). Mad Men is just a deeply introspective look into human greed and duplicity.

Stopped watching it about 6-7 episodes of season 1 when I came out because it was just dragging.

Did I get better season 2 onwards? Maybe it’s worth a shot again

looking forward to checking that out.

btw if you want mounds of luscious flesh (female but also male) plus graphic savage violence PLUS utterly hilarious, smart, crafty, profane TV all wrapped up in one show (not saying you do, but hey, I did) then you - or anyone else who likes that combo - should definitely check out Spartacus. came out a few years ago now but not that many people saw it. the first season and the prequel were truly mind-blowing and it went to crap after that but i definitely recommend it. produced by Sam Raimi. basically imagine Penthouse meets 300 meets Downtown Abbey. Leaves Gladiator in the dust.

Haven't seen season 3 yet. I liked season 1 better than season 2, but the caveat being season 1 started off sooooooo strong and carried the rest of it. Those first 3 or so episodes were explosive, like arguably the best start of a TV drama ever. And then as you said, it slows down so much and doesn't start up again until the final episode of the season. Those middle episodes came dangerously close to tanking my enjoyment of the show, and I myself almost dropped it.

Season 2 is way more balanced and consistent. Overall I think it's worth continuing.

Man, the CHI was amazing. Way better than I expected but I guess with my boy Common producing, anything was possible.

But right after the season finale, I read about all the legal drama between some characters. Kinda soured it a bit.

Damn how could I forget community. One of the greatest shows of all time. The writing was superb. Chevy chase and Dr. Ken were the best.
