He better be better than Clowney. Clowney's averaged 6 sacks a season.

Well the good news is Clowney had 6 sacks his junior year in 11 games and Chase had 16.5 sacks his junior year in 12 games. Clowney was a greek god but he never became that hard nose football player.

Otoh, Clowney had significantly better stats than Young in their sophomore years - 2.5 more sacks and 9 more tackles for loss.

You're absolutely right and I just remembered Clowney coasting his junior year was a big storyline because ESPN pegged him as the number one pick when he was a sophomore and he didn't want to risk anything. I don't know much about Chase outside of this year.

I've always liked Payton barber . 25 middle aged for a running back but could get a few good years out of him .

He's kinda like a sawed off very poor man's version of Adrian Peterson. He's a 5'10 power back with no explosion who's very limited in the passing game. He'll fight like hell for 5 yards up the middle one play, and the next play he'll be too slow to hit an easy hole to the outside. That's why he averaged 3.1 yards a carry last season.

I'm not a fan of either RB they signed, tbh. Hopefully, their contracts aren't guaranteed. Actually, hopefully Guice and Love are healthy all next season.

It's a rebuild guys. It is what it is. Not much to do other than take some cheap flyers on some guys who still have some tread on the tires and add out to pasture locker room vets to build the culture up.

According to Hooper himself, it came down to a decision between the Browns and the Redskins. He chose the former.

“It really came down to Cleveland and Washington,” Hooper said in an interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio “At the end, I chose to be a Brown.”

Hooper said in the interview that he had great respect for the Redskins, but he liked the situation in Cleveland a bit more.

I’m coming around to the idea of trading down. If we could get Miami’s 5, 17 and 2nd rounder, we could come away with Simmons, Ruggs and a TE. That would be a pretty good haul.

Been thinking about that more myself since the reports that Tua's hip perhaps looks better than folks originally thought it would. If Tua is close enough to being healthy that at least a couple teams put him back atop their wish list, and Cincy stays at #1 to take Burrow, we're suddenly in a much better bargaining position IMO.
