Sure it would be great to get masks but where to get them from.

I have a couple N95s but those are only if really needed like if I'm going to a walk in clinic/hospital waiting area etc. Some people who stocked up can probably just wear theirs when they go out once or twice a week but most other citizens can't.

I will say, I was noticing people not really respecting the physical distancing guidelines unfortunately.

Yeah not misleading at all.

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/cloth-face-cover.html

In light of this new evidence, CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies) especially in areas of significant community-based transmission

How was that misleading?

You’re constantly calling everyone pathetic, but the most pathetic person is you. I’m not sure how someone can get their panties so far up their ass over other people wearing face masks. You should be happy, if anything it does you a favour if everyone decided to wear one.

Completely different. It's pathetic that you have an issue with that, considering I am posting the truth (what CDC said) and you have no issue with someone making something up. It's hilarious that you call me out for calling people pathetic, in which I never have. Again more bull, you guys sure are accumulating a mound of it

It’s not misleading at all

They are basically saying: where masks in grocery stores, pharmacies, and similar high transmission areas (translation: anytime you walk into a building or structure where the public is)

That’s exactly where one should wear a mask.

You don’t need a mask in low transmission areas.... like a walk in your neighborhood

By the way, in light of the US blocking face masks to Canada, does anyone know which hospital I should donate my n95 respirators to? I have 10 brand new ones, it’s not much but I want to do whatever I can to help front line staff.

Both are literally a recommendation.

Again, stay pathetic man, and I still never got an explanation how your panties got so far up there.

Completely miss the part of where socially distancing is difficult, which I have not had an issue with for over two weeks. Yeah that is the same.

You're being purposely misleading. CDC says to wear masks specifically in grocery stores and pharmacies (which means anywhere indoors where there are people)

Why do you fail to address that very important part of the announcement?

The idea here is to protect everyone else assuming the mask wearer is sick and asymptomatic.

If people that are asymptomatic don't care enough to social distance or even stay inside and are still going on like it's a vacation, what makes anyone think they will wear a mask to protect other people. They just don't care about anyone else. Trump just took the lead and echo'ed how little he cares about anyone else.

And I specifically mean in the US.

That is not the same. The article is missing a key detail, social distancing

I have been able to social distance in several stores, many public areas with no issue

It's when you can't maintain social distancing. They used those as examples of places that can be difficult to maintain social distance.

Standard masks don't stop incoming particles well, but have some value in reducing face touches and taking velocity off outgoing exhalations.

Face shields seem to have more promise and also cover the eyes. However, just like gloves, there is still the issue of getting infected when you take it/them off improperly or reuse.

That's not a small difference in wording. That's a major one. One would apply pretty much ALL the time in public areas, the other is the rare time you cannot social distance.

It's a misleading title, a misleading article and I posted the original document. Wtf are you talking about goal post moving

A rocket scientist...

What if people are >6ft away?... Or is that just within 6ft?....

Because that wouldn't matter if you just ignore what CDC posted and just read the title/article you posted

It's also the distinction I've made dozens of times of when to wear masks. But then as you put

"It’s quite obvious that the recommendation to wear masks is around other people, otherwise why the hell would you wear a mask?

I've been saying why wear a mask when you are socially distancing, yet you guys keep arguing about it.

So which is it?

If it's so obvious and the CDC says it's when social distancing is difficult. Then according to you, people are not around at >6ft. So, you are saying "why the hell would you wear a mask when you are able to social distance?"
Thank you, I agree

Where do you live around? I could recommend a place, as I have many friends/colleagues that work at hospitals around the city and they're pretty much all asking for PPE.

If you're near the Humber River Hospital, you could fill this form out to inform them of your donation. If not, just let me know which area you're in and I can point you in the right direction.
