Roll call... Who doesn't have COVID yet? Or hasn't been tested positive.

How are you all doing? Got enough supplies? I haven't been out for more than a week. We got about a dozen suspected COVID positives in our town. But testing has been soooo slowww. Only 2 are confirmed COVID-19 patients -- one died and one is recovering.

I'm in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. We're the 5th largest in Positives, behind California.
Massachusetts: 10,402 Positives -- 192 Deaths (as of April 3, 2020)

I've been in the house for the most part (aka "Shelter-in-Place") since the NBA lockdown, March 11.
I've been away from house to the Supermarket, 3 times. Plus a daily outside exercise, away from people.

I got Diabetes, Asthma; I'm Over-weight, and in my late 50's.
I ain't going no-damn-where.

I'm 52, in good health with no pre-existing conditions. Living in Montreal (Canada's COVID hotspot with 1/4 of the country's cases), so I don't feel like leaving the house. Haven't stepped out in 10 days and it's getting boring but I count my blessings. I do my groceries every two weeks. Have food, antibacterial gel, and toilet paper to get past the end of days (*), but running out of Lysol wipes. (If you're wiping your behind with Lysol, let's make a deal.)

On the bright side, it looks like my job is safe (at least for the foreseeable future) and, more importantly, no one in my family has symptoms. Two of them were living in NY but returned to Canada mid-March.

Stay safe, everyone. Don't do anything adventurous like opening the front door.

(*) I'm not a covidiot. I had bought a couple huge packages of rolls that were on sale at Walmart just a week before everything exploded.

This, along with an increase in domestic violence (which I don't know if materialized), was one of my fears:

Full lockdown here. My wife and I have had a lingering respiratory infection for a LONG time, i.e. since before COVID-19 got popular. We probably haven't had the disease.

Feel free to vent about things any time. That goes for anyone here btw. We can be a support group too. Doesn't have to be political either, just stuff.

I can't even at times believe what is happening. It's not just America either. Seen some horrible things going in countries around the world when I browse social media.

Heck remember the days when we were just wondering if the third seed was good enough or if Kemba would ever get back on track with his shooting? Or if the bench would hold up for a long playoff series? Then Cave would step in and remind everyone the bench was fine and it was due to injuries.

I am sure Zoya can develop a time machine. For some reason I think he would be the best at developing one.

Oh btw remember when Jayson Tatum owned Kawhi Leonard on national tv?

IMO the champs for this season are the winners of that Celtics/Clippers double OT game anyway.

Annapolis Maryland was one of the few that didn't cancel their St. Patty's Day parade. I don't know any in New England that weren't canceled. 15,000 people attended this. :noway: This article is less than a month old, and shows how careless everyone was with their views on the virus in the state. Maryland didn't issue a stay at home order until March 30th.

https://www.capitalgazette.com/news/ac-cn-stpatricks-parade-2020-20200308-6badm2xfkzaorct7ag7vmjtwkm-story.html

The show must go on: Annapolis St. Patrick’s Parade attendees not worried about coronavirus but taking precautions.

Many people interviewed by The Capital said they weren’t concerned about the virus and simply wanted to have fun.

Out of all the **** and horror stories, I must admit I feel happy for the animals. All the intrusive noisy humans have finally stopped screwing with everything. They’re all coming out in celebration. The pets are loving all the extra attention too.

Me and my wife are on day 11 of a self imposed quarantine after a domestic flight. We were dealing with her deceased father’s estate and now back home. Even prior to that maybe had two trips to the supermarket in two weeks.

We’re lucky though in that we both have jobs that can be performed from home. Thank god for music, YouTube and my Nintendo.

Good to see you all here and hope you remain safe.

I'm 57, great health. Quispamsis New Brunswick. We've been I think ahead of the curve here, schools were closed 3 weeks ago, all big events cancelled at the same time. Distancing is working well, although there has been a progressive shutting down of outdoor parks because of too many people using them. The remaining stores have set up one way aisles, carts are being sanitized after every use, plexiglass barriers for employees. No deaths here so far, 95 confirmed cases, although we believe testing has been low. Low population here, which really helps IMO. The borders even provincially are closed for casual travel, and people shopping or visiting are being turned back.

Very impressed as to how different levels of government, and all political parties, are working together. Very much a science based approach.

My wife works in a nursing home, and I own a bathroom renovation company. I'm doing the essential jobs right now myself, we do a lot of work for veterans and older people so some jobs are essential to get people out of hospital or safe in their own homes. Clorox wipes, hand sanitizer, gloves are all in the truck. Working a bit keeps me sane (and not hitting refresh on case number sites all day). We're fortunate that there is lots of empty forested land around, so I get my son (16) out for long hikes a couple of times a week where we see nobody. Hiking and backpacking is our thing, nice to keep some sense of normalcy in our lives.

Stay safe everyone.

I’m doing fine and healthy but I’m worried that’s not gonna last. One of my roommates works for MA emergency management a huge building with a lot of employees. My girl works in a lab located in a hospital and has been told she is essential. I do construction and we have been instructed to keep working. At least my job we are outside with a small 4 man crew. However I feel like between the 3 of us one is gonna contract it and bring it home.

On the bright side I’m healthy and have a paycheck. Had a brief scare when I came into contact with someone who had tested positive but that was 3 weeks ago and nothing came of it. I never got symptoms so I couldn’t get tested.
