Nioh 2 is gonna get GOTY. It's ridiculously amazing. So many systems going on but when it clicks it really clicks. The game is really meant for people willing to go NG++, and I'm a long way from that, but I've got a good build on my first go around, and I found the mother of farming spots. I'm at 90 hours gameplay and I don't think I've scratched the surface yet.

So, my experience with ACNH has been generally positive. I sat to play for an hour today around noon and next thing you know it was 7pm.

It does trigger some, I don't know, anxiety about whether I'm doing things right. I'm trying to follow the suggestions online so I don't make any major missteps, but admittedly, chasing that efficiency is a bit overwhelming and disconcerting. That's sort of what chases me away from these kinds of farming/building games. It's very relaxing in some respects, but can feel a bit like work?

Yea, I only follow online tips for what to accomplish in the first three days. After that, I've just been doing what I want and when I want to progress, I always talk to Tom Nook and ask what I should do next. There seems to be so much to this game that trying to do everything is unrealistic, so I'm just trying to go at my own pace.

Do not go online. Do not minmax. It is so hard to break the habit, but don't do it, because it ruins the experience and point of the game. The game literally does not ever end. Everything will come - just do it at your pace.

That was what originally turned me off from Stardew Valley. It was so hard for me to wrap my head around what I was supposed to do...or rather not do. The second time I came back to it (yes, second time I came back, so third time total), I finally got it. I looked online for the first two days of ACNH as I was trying to figure things out a bit, but really just let it go if you can let yourself.

Yea, I haven't gone online once for ACNH tips, completely at my own pace. I missed turnips last week so this morning was my first time buying them. I bought 300 at 93 bells per 10. No idea if I'm doing it right. Just finished my second bridge and think I'm going to make some inclines next. It can feel like a chore, but what I like is that I'll never get penalized for anything. Just play and forget about reality for a bit.

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm still having a ton of fun with CoD Warzone. Because it's free and so many of my friends are looking for things to do I can constantly find a group of 3 to run with and just private chat and have fun.

I kind of rotate between ACNH, Cod WZ, and a littttle Overwatch here and there. Completely burnt out of WoW Classic around 35 when the grind really gets harder and I haven't had any desire to pick it up.

I got turnips for the first time this week, too. I think I got 600 or so at 98 bells a pop. I have no idea how this works but I'm hoping I can make about 50%. We'll see!

I am currently rotating between ACNH and Last Epoch. LE is another ARPG, but it's in beta and will be throughout 2020 most likely. It's in great shape, though. Devs have their heads on straight and I'm confident won't release it before its ready (unlike Wolcen, which it is already better than). Complex enough, but much less so than POE, which burned me out this league.

Can't wait for FF7R!

I bought 6,900 turnips today. I might’ve gone overboard.

Like other people said, just don’t read the online stuff. The game is meant for you at your pace and your own goals. Want to city plan? Do that. Want to just get all the fish? By all means. Don’t worry about optimizing because it’s not meant to be. Chase what you want to chase and it’s way more chill.

I bought 81,000 bells worth of turnips, hope I’m doing this right.

I’m also having a lot of fun with Warzone. I’m definitely an above average COD player (1.65 KD in Warzone) but only have two wins. Definitely the hardest battle royal to get wins, IMO.

WTF  I just redid my horrible math (I'm good at math and slightly ashamed) and I actually bought about 1,000 of them. So you bought about 7x what I did. Are you pushing a mil? Or, I suppose, hoping to be after this :D

Yeah, I invested ~641,000 today. I held out paying my loans and cashed in my fruit to do it. I doubled my investment last week with only 400 turnips, so if I do it again I’ll have a bunch of cash to do stuff.

I bought 80 turnips but accidentally ate 10 at once. :-?

I bought some for 95 last week and ended up selling last minute for 30, so be careful.

Price check with friends. Two prices a day, once before noon and once after. I have 60 chances with my friend circle currently. We could probably check prices on here if anyone is leery going it solo.

Got through all 3 DragonAge games and a + run of Diablo w/ my son & wife. Picked up a bunch of new games but want to clear my backlog (and get some achievements I'm missing) from old titles before going into the new ones. Onto Mass Effect: Andromeda and Witcher DLCs.

Something Nioh 2 does that is so freaking cool is letting you drop a version of your character anywhere in the world, and other people can use it in their game. If they do, you get a notification and you're rewarded with valuable items. Every hour or so I get a message like, "Six people have used your revenant. Here are six ochoko cups." It's **** dope.

Ron Swanson wrote:I've been reading a ton about Blade and Mount II: Bannerlord, and it's really making me want to buy a gaming PC. They apparently made a console port of the first game back in 2014 (Warband) and am debating downloading it. Anyone play the series?

I've had Warband on the PC for years and can verify that it is DANGEROUSLY addicting. The base game, the Viking DLC, all the mods, etc. etc. etc. Would highly recommend it as even lower end laptops can run it relatively reasonably. Never played it on console, so can't comment there.

Regarding Bannerlord, if you've read a lot about it you know it's been stuck in development hell for years and years at this point. That they even have a version out now seems to be something akin to a miracle. I've not gotten it since I'm device-less right now, but do note that it'll probably be pretty buggy as they work most of the kinks out. If they perfect it, though, it's going to be a hell of a buy for anyone looking for a sandbox RPG with few equals.

Tom Nook needs to explain to me why I can have a terraforming shovel that tears down cliffs but his regular shovel design is so fragile.

Honestly these eggs are completely ruining ACNH’s vibe for me right now. They supposedly did an update too to reduce the amount but I swear every other fish or crack in the ground is a ****ing egg.
