rodgers is already considered one of the goatiest of all time. he gets praise for some truly remarkable things he does on the field so his legacy is firmly entrenched as one of the greatest pure passers ever.

lots of people think kd's rings are vacuous. kd also has more turmoils and negativity in his backyard. so i guess of the two, kd NEEDS it more.

that being said i think "legacy" is the thing you leave behind. how you "mattered", if you will. championships are just hardware. they have no correlation to what you leave behind, ie a legacy. like drJ's legacy is his impact on the dunk and how it changed the personality of the game. the dunk gave the players the freedom of expression. his ring never insured his legacy, it was already there. similarly i think mj's legacy is not his rings, it's his globalization of the sport. and rodgers' legacy will be there whether he wins a ring or not

kd's legacy will be how he left okc and all that ensued. that is the thing they will talk about FOREVER. not his ring and not his shooting. nonetheless, kd needs all the help he can get. his basketball life is wanting.

Rodgers has had one top 5 defense in his entire career and guess what... he won a Super Bowl that year

Brady has had a top 5 defense or top 10 defense pretty much every single season

Brady has had the top defense in the NFL two times in his career. 2003 (won SB) and 2016

Brady had a top five defense four other times. 2004 (won SB), 2006 (lost CG), 2007 (lost SB), and 2009 (lost WC)

Give Brady Rodgers receivers and he wins at least one or two more.

Brady is the best QB ever but a team is more that just the WR or TE.Rodgers and the Packers lost 8 times in the playoffs in the career of Rodgers and the packers give up in average over 36 PPG in his loss. The defense of Dom Capers was often a true disaster in the playoffs. For the patriots, they give up 30 points or more in 41 playoffs games with Brady only 5 times!

Gronk is the best weapon of anyone the Pats or Packers have had in the past 10 years and it isn't close

that aside, your notion that receivers/weapons are more important than defense is quite amusing

This argument is never ending but Tom Brady won Superbowls with Troy Brown and David Patten, with Antowain Smith at running back. The best receiver he's had in the last 3 Superbowl wins was Julian Edelman, who was a college qb. Gronk was injured for one of the Superbowls as well so that argument doesn't hold much weight. If you want to argue coaching then fine but the Pats weren't a top defense every year and still won Superbowls. The 2011 Pats made the Superbowl despite being ranked 31st in yard allowed.

This argument isn't particularly close, Brady has had more team success, better overall numbers, more longevity, and a higher peak with his 2007 season.

you are one blinded individual. Brady himself is on record stating that Rodgers can make throws he can't.

Rodgers is great but just because Brady is humble doesn't mean Rodgers is a better QB. There are guys with more skills than Tom Brady but none have had the success that Tom has had. I don't think it's an accident.

It would be nicer to see Rodgers win one, but KD needs to win one more.

Rodgers 2nd ring wouldnt move the needle much. he would still not crack the class of QBs who have won 3+ titles.

Durants would give him 3 rings, and winning with 2 different teams. it would move him into a new tier of greats and give him legit cases against guys like bird on all time lists

I'm not salty. the jets are losers. not the kind of team you are salty when they lose. more like embracing the clown show that they are and tuning in to see how the screw it up again.... like this year its "hey we have a top draft pick and 50 million in cap space... lets let our GM make the pick and spend that money, and then fire him... like we find him so incompetent that he needs to be fired, but we will still let him make these franchise impacting moves before we fire him so that the new GM we trust has little ability to mold the team.... the jets draft video sums up the jets:

The Pats are cheaters... several times over. its not like one isolated incident were some nobody like failed a drug test. it is repetitive cheating. and whats worse, most of their cheating offense came after the league warned the, what they were doing was cheating and they did it anyway. Bradys great, the cheating doesnt make him a scrub, but it certainly taints him and invalidates him in any GOAT talk

Won't matter. Even if the league resumed, the Nets won all of their remaining games and the Celtics lost all of their games, the Nets still wouldn't finish 10 games ahead of the Celtics.

Winning another one for Rodgers really wouldn't mean much for his legacy. It's really important for QBs to get 1, but after that it doesnt really mean much, up until you get into that GOAT conversation and you need to get to 4 to be in that conversation. So I really don't think 2 vs 1 is that big of a deal for his overall legacy.

Id definitely say KD in this because many will say KD needs to win one on his own team.

Another Super Bowl won't do much to change Rodgers' legacy - Brady is the GOAT due to team success and longevity. However, I think a second Super Bowl would put some more weight behind the argument that Rodgers is the most talented QB of all time.

Arguably is.
