Edibles don't do anything for me. I've been trying for years to find a good recipe, have different people try making them for me, ordered online from different vendors and nada. Don't know if it's my metabolism, or if it has something to do with me being a type 1 diabetic, but I've wasted a lot of weed over the years trying to put them into edibles. I gave up last year and just smoke it.

Yeah I remember I watched the first Diaz vs. McGregor with a couple of friends and they all popped one brownie, while I had three (I was prepared to get effed up). One of my friends slept through the whole main card, another one didn't say a word through the main event, while the other one was high as giraffe balls and couldn't understand how I wasn't feeling anything. I've had a friend who is a heavy weed smoker use his magical butter machine to make me a batch, i had a couple of cookies and STILL nothing.

The only other person I've heard who has a similar issue is Joe Rogan's producer of the podcast Jamie, who on one episode a while ago in passing mentioned not getting high by eating edibles. They never really got into it too much about the science or anything behind it, but if any RealGM'er has any insight I've love to hear it.

go on weedmaps app and order edibles, theres hundreds of stores in the GTA

The liver converts THC to 11-hydroxy-THC when we eat cannabis.

Some people can't make this conversion.

11-hydroxy-THC is twice as strong and lasts twice as long.

dont worry, the article didnt post any actual links between corona and marijuana. Its speculative based on smoking not being great for your lungs. Probably a good idea to try to reduce or not start smoking weed, but Im not sure we will see it as a significant risk factor when alls said and done

but since smoking goes straight to your bloodstream and is not filtered through the liver first, how would that get you high given the relative lack of 11-hydroxy-THC?

Smoking gets THC into your blood. THC is what gets you high. 11-hydroxy-THC is just a stronger form.

Nobody knows for sure but the livers that can't convert to 11-hydroxy-THC must be converting it to some intermediate substance that is inert.

When you inhale it you get a huge rush of THC into your brain as it all goes into the circulation and can rapidly cross the blood-brain barrier.

The FB posts with comments like "China allowing wet markets to re-open! WTF is wrong with these people!?" makes the entirety of China look bad when it shouldn't.

There needs to be an understanding of the difference.

My guess is this PSA from a white guy in China is motivated by fear of becoming another Michael Kovrig. Otherwise why in the hell anyone would anyone go out of their way to defend a totalitarian state?

one of the first "conspiracy theories" was it being a biological weapon. I don't 100% believe it's true but after watching this video, it starting to feel more than just a conspiracy theory

It might have something to do with caring about facts and not letting one's opinions be tainted by politics.

If people are allowed to make stuff up to perpetuate their hate for China, then they're no better than the CPC. It would be the epitome of hypocrisy.

You could be on to something here. This white guy's PSA to defend his totalitarian state could be motivated by fear. Or just maybe, just maybe he wants to show the world a little bit of the truth from all the misinformation he sees online. You may not be aware of this but there are actually Canadians, Americans, Europeans, etc (basically all races in the world) that lives in China right now and actually loves it there. They're there because they want to and they can leave any time. They're not all locked up in chains in this totalitarian state despite what you may have heard being stuck in your basement and never walking outside to see the world for yourself.
