Recently rewatched his duel w/ Luka in November, now that was a fun game. (Also a great Luka game)

He couldn't control time. But he could control when he allowed someone to tell his story.
So this isn't the definitive documentary about one of the greatest players of all time, Michael Jordan. It's a documentary about one of the greatest teams of all time, the 1997-98 Bulls, with Jordan as a leading character.
And he was ready to tell it, right after another player (James) and another team (the Warriors) got dangerously close to challenging those legacies.

NBA TV aired 2012-2014 Miami games recently. You can just see the progression in his offense year-by-year. He's much better in 2014 than 2012. And noticeably better from 2013 too. Slimmer, quicker, more offensive minded. And that continued in Cleveland. Particularly '17 and '18.
I wouldn't take Laker-LeBron over his '13 or '14 self. Lost too much athletically (although showing good signs prior to season's suspension).

Honestly this season has probably been his best overall defensive season since 2012 or 2013, don't think its crazy at all to suggest he's an all around better player now.
Lue was a very inferior coach when it came to defense. The coaching in Cleveland after Blatt's departure is brutal. Lue should take a lot of blame for those teams' defensive struggles.
Anyway, to me, LeBron's best versions post-2010 are (in no order)
2013
2014
2017
2018
I don't think 2020 LeBron is better than any of the versions above. His defensive improvement doesn't make up for what he has lost offensively. Although, again, he started coming along after the AS break. A real shame the season had to come to a halt.
