One additional point to that above, is I don't get a check. Small business owners don't get a check because we make too much money. We are relying on either the tax provisions for relief or that silly plan to take out a low interest loan to pay our employees that we may or may not be forgiven from, which doesn't benefit us. Why would I take out a loan to pay someone that is at home not working? I gave my employees some relief, but I can't afford to do that long term, that's why we pay unemployment insurance. Its just a gimmick because the administration doesn't want to see the unemployment rate go up any more, hardly any of us are taking advantage of that. So, small businesses like mine, get screwed once again.

I directly know more people than I have fingers and toes that are applying for PPP program. As far as "may or may not" it will be forgiven if spent as laid out. Even if not it's a whopping 1/2% interest, cheapest money a business will ever borrow. There are plenty of us out there that still have to work to do and closing down shop isn't an option.

One additional point to that above, is I don't get a check. Small business owners don't get a check because we make too much money. No one knows yet, not even the banks. This isn't a done deal, but my situation is different. I don't need the low interest loan, that's not what I have a problem with. I'm glad that it is going to be provided, I know plenty of people who are going to need it, I don't. Its not just ego, there should not be politics involved with the treasury like that. Its why its never been done before. But this is Trump, we don't care about norms and precedent anymore. That's what I mean, its got to stop, and his minions have no sense of history whatsoever.

The Treasury Department on Monday finalized a decision to have Trump’s name appear in the memo line of the $1,200 stimulus checks each American will receive as part of the coronavirus relief bill passed by Congress last month, the Washington Post reported.

Engineers have to make a computer programming change and then test the system in order to insert Trump’s name on the checks, which will take time and likely cause a delay in the first batch of checks, two senior officials told the Washington Post.
