I'm really curious how the later rounds will go. I have a few guys on my radar but no clue how popular they are here.

Looking at the players still available, I feel like I can join the draft right now and still build a pretty good team.
There are some serious talent that are being passed up for players that don't even cost much less in terms of FGA.

Sure if you get to come in and just pick your team all at once without having to worry about who will and won't be available next time you pick and how that impacts future rounds, of course you could build a great team. Tons of talent on the board still. I'd hope we all could.
This is a much more challenging exercise when you have to make a pick while hoping you have enough options to fill other holes later without being stuck with a bench of just scrubs in an 8 player roster where you can't have passengers.

The issue with per75 numbers;
36pts on 27 fga/9 fta in 36 mins, does this mean he'd keep up the efficiency to get 48pts on 36fga/12fta in 48 mins?
The answer; NO. He's human, not a linearly working machine.
Per75 is efficiency rate, not actual production.

Nothing is stopping a team from missing their first 4 picks and then drafting the entire starting lineup in round 5. If that was really the better option, why did no team do that? Because the best talents would obviously be long gone and you can only pick the leftovers after every team has had multiple chances to take the players you were really after. There is no scenario in which drafting a 5 man team after 80 players are already off the table is somehow less challenging than drafting 1 player in each of the 5 rounds.

It's all good mate. You are probably better at this than me. I freely admit that my current strategy might be totally wrong. I'm okay with it. I'm still enjoying the process. I'm open to any and all criticism. I do have to say I love most of the teams being built the way we are doing at. So I think most participants are crushing this.

Laimbeer has the best team so far I'd say.

Other than passing on Jordan, I think your strategy in the game has been fine. I often save FGA and play the waiting game in drafts as well, though it is admittedly a risky approach.

LA Bird could get some decent players but I don't think it'd be enough to really compete at this stage

Run of great picks. I thought Dame might slide to me too.... But I have a guy I really really want that I was deathly afraid of Doc picking so here's hoping he gets to me. But that was the guy I was most concerned about so fingers crossed.

Yeah he and Marc were the best options for you. I can think of a couple unusual options I kinda like but I still need another big too so hopefully you don't consider them.

Intriguing. I look forward to find out who that guy was, and I hope he falls to you.

There's a few solid alternatives

Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy
