So, two more wins and after that they can plan for the upcoming season.

You mean party?

I don't think the players currently give a **** about next season lol. The goal all along has been to win the Prem. When they wrap that up, there's going to be a giant party back in Liverpool.

Both of you have it right....we are gonna win the Prem! Huge. We started out great, and yet I deep down KNEW we were gonna f**k it up somehow. We always do. I looked to that crazy 11-12 game December, and I marked it down.

"just wait...we're gonna crash and burn right there" But we rolled. Pretty damn impressive.

Then I figured we'd be gassed come Jan. "Jan is where we start losing". Made sense...we've gassed in Jan before. But we kept rolling.

Been a tough 10-14 days for Liverpool....but let's not forget the 400+ days of complete domination we watched. We lost what? Maybe 4 meaningless games in an entire year? We got drubbed good by Barca....JUST SO WE COULD SMACK EM' BACK!!!! =0)

Klopp and the squad have done me proud..no doubt. And after all the smoke settles...we're gonna hoist our first prem. But not only that. I also got to enjoy a full year + of complete domination. It came to an end...but it was beautiful to watch. Good stuff. Hopefully we go on another tear soon.

YNWA.

PS:Can't wait to get trashed when we officially win the Prem. Gonna be fun

I think Liverpool lost mostly this game that looked a dominating win because Klopp is really bad getting good backup goalkeeper. Adrian mistake gav Athletico the only chance they had to score, take away the really good play offensively. 5 more minutes of 2-0 scoreline, the game is over mentally. A huge mistake ruined everything despite the offensive players missed too much.

Liverpool must buy 3 really good wingers, strikers like Minamino, if they had bigger squad like City you could rest the top three. Salah, Mane missed huge chances like they had played 80 games.

Bigger squad they should start a dynastic CL,PL winners.

No. My guess is a suspension for two-three weeks in the first place - if the situation isn't getting better, then a cancellation might be a possibility.

I know things in life are way bigger than football, but let me just say - i'd be fuming is Liverpool isn't crowned the champs no matter how the season ends.

This would be so effing typical.

I would like to think that since this isn't really a heated race, they'd just give it to Liverpool in the event of a cancellation. I can't see anyone having an issue with that. If MC were 5 point back or something, they might take issue, but it would reek of 'dick move' if the league didn't crown the obvious champion.

I'm sure we'll play out the fixtures eventually. It's impossible just to give the title to Liverpool before they've won it because then we'd be saying that the bottom three need to be relegated when there is every chance that all 3 could yet stay up.

I hear what your saying, but at the end of the day SOMEONE has to get relegated. Lose a few games, play the season later, call an abrupt end to the season...it's all the same. 4 teams gotta goto CL next year, 3 teams go down, 3 teams come up, and since the easiest to call of the lot, is champ.....might as well do it =0)

Seems like Liverpool would have more of a legit beef with being denied the title, than any other team / scenario that will come up.

Hopped in to say hello. Cactus, agg, HIF, and the rest.....hope everyone's doing ok. Pretty crazy last 20 days eh?

Reading back up at the top of the page, it seems like a different world 20-some days ago!

Anyhow, hope all's well with you, and the world can return to normal here in the next month or so. I waited 20 years to win the prem, and it's a real crapper how this went down. All the thunder is gone. And rightfully so...don't get me wrong.....but why did it have to be THIS year?!?!?! sigh

Look forward to chatting again soon. Maybe today these words mean a little more than usual: YNWA

Tough times as a Liverpool fan, COVID really screws us. For me, the planned trip to Liverpool to watch the last game, see the trophy lifted and be apart of the parade, all that is cancelled - it suuuucks, just not hoping we have to wait another 30 years  (crying emoji).

I still think we will get the titel, but as you said, it wont feel the same way. I just hope the situation gets under control in the UK and they find some place to play the last 9-10 games behind closed doors. At the end of the day, i'd still celebrate and get hammered whenever Hendo lifts the trophy. But the season wont be remembered for our performance.

Also just tough times without football. The usual weekly trip to the pub with the guys, watching a game and drinking some beers - it's hard to be without. My local Liverpool fanclub held a online quiz last night on Facebook. Had a beer and talked with a fellow Liverpool mate on the phone, while participating in the quiz and drinking a few beers. Well needed 'Liverpool time' .
I've even been out and played some football with a mate twice a week more or less since the Atletico game - despite only playing a couple of times the prior 5 years or so. I still know how to kick a ball - but the conditioning are atrocious.

What restrictions do y'all have where you live? - and hope y'all are doing well in these times.
