Mills did seem desperate to move Frank. So not surprising that Rose won't shop him as hard as Mills did considering that Frank did show a little growth despite being very inconsistent still. Now, Begley also says that nobody including Frank is off limits in a package for a disgruntled star. A lot of us are skeptical that we brought in Rose to get stars on this team due to his relationships with them, so it will be interesting to see if he makes going after stars his priority or will try to rebuild organically through the draft. If his main focus is going after stars, then Frank and our other young guys would not be here for long if I had to guess.

Back on topic. I am accepting Thibs will be our next hire even though I think Kenny should be the one. So I will try to talk my self into him. This is a good read about Thibs from a Bulls fan perspective. Talks about if he really ran players into the ground, if he can fit into the modern era.. etc. In summary, he belives that Thibs is not overrated, but actually a successful coach.

of course no one in untradable we don't have that talented of a roster to cal anyone untradable. As a frank fan for the right player I would trade frank or anyone for that mattter if the trade made sense.

However it was pretty obvious at this point last year mills/perry (I think it was more perry because Mills was part of the team that drafted frank) Perry is the guy that has brought in failed PG project after failed PG project and they were willing to ship Frank out for maybe even a early 2nd round pick last year. So the fact Leon seems to acknowledge Frank skill set and he was one of the few young players that seemed to develop nicely this year he should be one of the keepers.

All we need is Kenny Atkinson to come in, who I know you like, and he loves Frank. :D

I'm basically in the "don't want thibs at all but won't royally flip out if they hire him" boat. If Atkinson *wants* the job and they don't hire him that's a major fail.

Lets not derail another thread into a Frank one

I hope we get Kenny regardless of Frank or anyone (He's also a Randle fan). He will be great for everyone on the roster. But I am starting to accept Thibs as our coach though. Read the articles I just posted, tell me your thoughts on it. I gotta say it's starting to change my mind a little on Thibs. Kenny should absolutely be our #1 target but I think I can live with Thibs I guess.

I'm down with Thibs. You need to walk before you can run and I have little doubt that a few years of Thibs will greatly benefit the likes of Frank, Mitch, and even Knox.

We're a garbage team. Get me anybody who will bring this team to some level of respectability and structure and then we can begin talking options after some growth has occured.

Well the team needs more shooting so reggie in the starting lineup would be a good thing no?

just because he's had success doesn't mean he's the right fit

Min arguably had a much better young core than us and he failed terribly there with all the control and none of the media scrutiny
But isnt he great at brining up young guys?

Yep. Forget about development if we hire Thibs. He's not that kind of coach.

What team is that?

Potential coaching vacancies this Summer:
Knicks
Nets
Bulls
Cleveland
maybe Philly
maybe Washington
maybe Detroit
maybe Minny?

The Sixers and Nets are better gigs, but is he their target? BK is going to be looking for a player friendly coach to coddle their guys. Philly isn't going to want a guy who has been known to run his best players in the ground by playing short rotations. I'm not seeing a ton of suitors that are better than us.

He was a terrible POBO. May still have legs as a coach if he's willing to play ball. Chicago management was awful too.
