Have a feeling that people will hate ownership and the franchise even more after this.

1000%. It's going to make AK's job more challenging, but also force him to get a bit more creative.

Re: OT- The Last Dance documentary
I know it is common knowledge and maybe I had forgotten, but after remembering Krause telling Jackson (a top 2 ALL TIME COACH) that he was not coming back under any scenario, made me lose any and all respect I had for him. For ownership to side with Krause, made me lose a lot of respect for the organization.
I doubt the hate for the ownership and/or franchise will go up after this. People being reminded why they hated the franchise sure, but to "hate even more", I'm not sure I will buy that opinion.

Agree with that too. I read books on it, Phil is not painted in the best light through this either. It is has always been baffling that Jerry didn't do more to step in between both of them. I get that yes that team was likely at it's end anyway but Jerry needed to step in, the same way he needed to step in between Kenny and Ozzie. He failed on both of those counts. Don't know it would have changed the outcomes but the optics of the situation would have changed. This is also old news and well documented so I don't think it will do much for people hating the organization. Krause is dead. Phil is Phil etc...

They were better than people give them credit (and I believe that happened because they chocked twice vs the Rockets) but on that series they just couldn't get anything in the first two games (as far as I remember)... after that, oh my... some crazy battles... It took Jordan with 55 points and an ugly 4th quarter on the last game (with Jordan scoring the first 9 of the 12 Bulls points) for us to win.
I watched the 98 finals game 6 more times than any other game but the situation in 93 was similar and the team was super clutch also.
Also, the 98 Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals was the toughest series of the entire Dynasty. That Indy team was for real. People forget that they took the Bulls to seven games and the Bulls came out flat and were actually down by 13 in game 7. It was a close game in the 4th q with the Bulls losing for most of the 4th q.

I think people who hate management will hate them more.

Re: OT- The Last Dance documentary
My wife of 39 years has never much cared for sports and NBA basketball is at the bottom of her list (she has many other redeeming qualities). She shocked me yesterday when she said she wants to watch The Last Dance doc with me. My first take was "Way cool!"
My second was that this thing is going to be HUGE!

People really underrate how good that Pacers team was. They were incredibly deep, much deeper than the Bulls. Their front-court was incredibly tough and productive and almost everyone on their team besides the Davis' could create offense.
C. Smits/M.West
PF.D.Davis/A.Davis/Croshere
SF.Mullin/McKey
SG.Miller/Rose/Hoiberg
PG.Jackson/Best
That's 12 guys that could contribute in a meaningful way when given minutes. Bird was also a hell of a coach.

Re: OT- The Last Dance documentary
Jerry krause is gonna look like the little troll that he was but he did make some good moves for the organization. I think its really gonna open some eyes about MJ. When people hear things things like Mike was THE alpha male and he was a cold blooded killer they will get a bit a better understanding of what that meant and took.

Well he played on two teams. Since Jordan, you've seen Kobe, Dirk, and Duncan actually only play on one team. It does seem less and less likely that you'll see more one team guys, it's somewhat of a shock that the three I mentioned managed it. Right now, of star players, probably the GS guys are the ones with the best chance of that happening.
I think Dame will end his career in Portland.

Re: OT- The Last Dance documentary
Really looking forward to this....
Really wish ESPN would’ve played some of the seasons Bulls Games leading up to this doc and continue to play them on the days they’ll play more or even on days they would have had NBA games/playoff games.
Thinking about it, it would’ve been kind of cool if ESPN/TNT kept their NBA programming schedule and played old school games. Have some Bulls vs Magic or Suns playoff games... have a halftime with Shaq and Chuck talking about the game. Such programming could be entertaining.
ESPN could have some Kobe games vs the Celtics and have their halftime include Pierce speaking about the game.
It’d beat watching athletes play video games...

I have a lot of respect for Krause, probably more than many my age (42) but telling Phil before the 98 season that he didn't care if they went 82-0, Phil wasn't coming back...is one of the dumbest things anyone has ever said.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes
