But before phase 1, it's all the same bull sh-t we in right now.

Texas already said they are entering phase 1. They are a bigger US state than us and they are in the worst in testing. So if Texas is phase 1 so should we.

I am of a similar mindset being I haven't been impacted much during the shutdown. But, I keep thinking about those who work for or own small businesses, those losing their businesses or those losing homes since they cannot work. Not saying it is right to open up now, but there are more factors than many of us can comprehend. Maybe, open up sections or counties in low risk areas that have had little to know impact due to virus. Places like Miami need to stay down for a while.

South Dakota thought they were one of those. Now they have a flare up and it has impacted the nations meat supply

The only problem is that you aren't addressing the specific issues and just focusing on my perceived hatred for Trump. We have a guy that doesn't like facts or information, so he bags on the media and thinks virus testing could only hurt his polling numbers. He is the one that is treating this as a political crisis, not me. I've done the microscopic view of the virus, home treatment and avoidance of it, possible clinical trials and vaccines, rate of infection, mortality rate, hospital rate, comorbidity issues, racial and social economic implications, yada yada, and now I'm kind of focused on the handling of the crisis and the long term health and financial effects of the decisions being made. I would appreciate it if you could rebut the issues of my argument, rather than the why you so mad bro routine. You are arguing things that are unknowable. If this and if that. I will gladly discuss Politics on the PoliticalForum.com. But, I am not discussing politics with extremist left wingers on RealGM.

I cannot even read your posts because it is all the same drivel. "I haaate Trump, this is why you should hate him too!!!!!!!!!" It is all the same to me. If you were attacking Obama, I would be doing the same.

I tell you what, if you create a post that does not involve your political accusations, I will gladly discuss. We should be leveling our hatred at the Chinese government because no president would have stopped the death rates we have had.

i do find this somewhat amusing. BMP, you are one of the kings of dropping into a thread and laying a bomb out there just to cause comments

Many orher countries did better than us. Trump's response to the pandemic was a complete failure. You can't change history now.

I didn't get mine. It says at this time they can't determine my eligibility. I think they say a third of the people have got theirs. They have glitches in the system and who knows if they fix it. I have no faith in the administration to do anything correctly.

I paid my taxes every year but haven't done it this year yet since they moved the deadline to June 15th.

Ah that sucks.. but maybe they will soon or is that a forever no? My brother doesnt really follow politics. He focuses on family work and games but he didn't expect for him and his wife to get that 1200 cuz they are both still employed and paid well. He said he thought it was for the less fortunate like those laid-off, earning minimum, less houra, etc etc

We all have been around here long enough to recognize BMP's contributions. I usually don't take it personal. Anyone who thinks its funny to joke around with his friends in the supermarket and scare workers about a contagious disease, still amused by food shaped like penises, and the biggest tell, has the word pimp in his avatar, has got to be very immature. Its pretty clear that he doesn't read or inform himself either. His real name is probably something unremarkable, like Bret, or Chad. I picture a guy with a mullet and his brothers old Camaro in the driveway. A prime example of the two divisions in the country. I happen to live in the United States of America, and guys like him live in 'Merica. He doesn't phase me. The one thing that will make me leave, is if it turns into a joke thread, or we focus solely on Florida-centric themes like when will the beaches open. If that's what people want for information during a pandemic, that's cool with me. No need to think at all with topics like that. Let's deviate the conversation down to its lowest common denominator then.

I hope it isn't forever, because they said they would send it and i was counting on it.

Unfortunately it's a big failure for unemployment in Florida too. I've heard about 23,000 of the near million people that applied have got money so far.

Lol. I am not Bret or Chad, never had a mullet before, live in Baldwin Park and don't drive sports cars anymore. I had a Ford Mustang 5.0 once when I was 21! I would rather discuss Florida centric information regarding a pandemic in what this thread was originally created for. The Political Forum is on the Current Affairs board, not Orlando Magic board. If you had not made it a point to promote your political fascination with Trump into every post, I would not have had a problem. It gets old quick. So, lets talk about the Virus without people deviating into blowhearts repeating their parties agenda or whatever CNN preaches them into repeating.

So does your crap, but if you think that you are going to shut me up with your childish remarks, you are sorely mistaken. I believe I've put in a decent amount of work in this thread already. I'm not sure you have made an honest attempt yet. You don't like my posts, skip over them, put me on ignore, but don't tell me how I'm supposed to feel or what I should be concerned about. You've already said that this thing hasn't effected you hardly. Well, that isn't the case with me, different perspective. Let's leave it at that and move on. I'll talk about whatever I want, and you, well you can go back to whatever it is you are doing.

NBA Players Agree To 25 Percent Reduction

Well the Magic seems certain to be nowhere near the cap with this statement.

Shout out to nymets1, you are right. The sun and high humidity will kill this virus, but with a caveat. During the day it will help disinfect surfaces and slow the spread, but at night and closed in spaces it will still spread. Here is a good article on what researchers have found. It does make sense, most viruses are susceptible to this type of exposure, but with something this new, I was concerned about putting unverified information out. We'll have a window this summer where it will appear to be back to normal, but fits and starts are going to happen throughout the rest of the year until we get a vaccine.

Does it affect the cap? I thought this would be a temporary measure and the cap situation would not reflect it.

Huh? Magic will be certain to be over the cap. Or are you saying we just take a quarter off of everyone's salary while the cap stays at the same number?

Hey everyone! I remember years ago we did an all time building a team draft and it was pretty fun imo. Would anyone would be interested in doing another one during these quarantine times? I would be willing to run it just interested to see if there is 20-30 people who would want too.
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Everything is calculated as a percentage of revenue. Players get roughly 50% of the revenue generated by the league. This is why the actual payouts to players can vary from what is stipulated in their contracts. If revenue goes down, the cap will go down. Revenue is in a state of uncertainty at the moment. This is why salaries are being cut. This will not free up any salary cap space.
