If so, who are some cheap guys and expirings you are looking at to trade him for

No, Lowry is a free agent that year so need to move him.
As of now there's no dead money for the 2021 free agency. and the space for one max player w Fred or 2 maxes w/o him

Doesn't seem like you guys can afford Siakam, FVV, Powell, OG cap hold, other pieces possibly, Max FA, and Lowry.
Unless Lowry takes a nice discount and don't have Gasol or Ibaka

Theres a lot of uncertainty at this point but i think we will choose one of Fred or Powell, possibly lose both Gasol and Ibaka as well. The ages are pretty important because that year Marc will be around 37 years old so he may retire even if he does come back for the next season. It will also be Lowrys age 35 season so I don’t think he will cost too much money if he decides to stay.
Anunoby’s cap hold is miniscule as is Terence Davis’ so both we should be able to keep in RFA maybe requiring dipping into the tax.

I don't know what it would take to get him. We have a couple guys that could match his salary (Mccaw or Stanley) and then maybe a couple 2nd rounders?
Extremely athletic scoring guard to develop behind Lowry/FVV/Powell/TDII
Get him out of the dumpster fire in NY and into one of the best organizations in the world.

TD > DSJr We need a target like that but a PF/C.

I absolutely agree that TDII is better than DSJR. Nowhere did I say anything about having one over the other.
I was just making a point that DSJR could be had for a very cheap, and would be a really interesting 5th guard/scoring guard behind Lowry / FVV / TDII / Powell.
I think this would be a great environment to develop DS JR.
